Well, good morning and looks like I need more coffee! If Ruth is around maybe she can fix my error and make that title say "Sept" !!!

Today should be sunny and warmer (that 58* and rainy yesterday was definitely a harbinger of things to come!!). Today I will finish some laundry and cleaning and try to get outside for a bit. Scale is up today since I indulged last night but I am resolved to get back on the wagon today and drink extra water of course. Getting back into the regular work routine will also help.

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning,

Just got back from morning walk, I slept in so later than usual, it was nice outside. Now sitting down to breakfast and catching up. Not sure what is on the agenda today, I am doing a bit of laundry today.

Beth enjoy your day off as we go back to the grind tomorrow. Glad it will be nice for you.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. Just back from the last coffee Monday of the season where we bade farewell to our summer-only residents. We do have some cottagers who stick around until October for Thanksgiving but there is still a mass exodus from the Village on Labour Day weekend. (Monday morning coffee in the Church Hall was Barb's project but we will still carry on in her memory.)

Got on the darned scale again this a.m. and there has been a bit of slippage but not much this summer.

Afternoon all

Beth its only me so everything I make is too much lol. It does freeze well, so I usually freeze half in single serve containers. It's my go to recipe lol. Enjoy your last day off.

Ruth a little slippage can always be undone. Glad you are keeping the coffee club at the church hall going.

Pearlrose hope you enjoy this lovely day too.

Work for me, it seemed odd coming in on a Monday that feels like a Saturday. I did get an indoor ride in last night. I am binge watching Grey's Anatomy. Since I watch it on my ipad, I decided to watch while riding. I'm not killing it on the bike by any means, but it's better than snacking while watching. Hopefully this is a new routine. Food is prepped and ready for the week. I am doing a 10 day shred with a friend from HS who lives in Illinois. It's actually pretty easy except for the no eating after 6 and ditching caffeine. LOL I told her I will do the other stuff (no dairy, gluten or processed foods, exercise most days, drink 8 glasses of water and get more sleep blah blah blah) but I am not foregoing my coffee for anyone lol. Trust me its better for others if I keep the coffee. Thursday will be a challenge as we are having a BBQ at our Command Staff meeting. I may pack an emergency lunch just in case.

Hope everyone enjoys their day..

Good morning,

Back to the grind, we had a cold front come through last night that brought a severe thunderstorm with major wind gusts, it took down half of our bradley tree in back yard by deck, luckily it missed hitting the back deck or anything and just went down in the yard. DH will be busy with chainsaw today. Feeling much better except still have the annoying cough. WFH day for me, I do have a PT appt today and DD2 has practice tonight.

Ruth I am sure you will reverse the slippage happens to all of us

Beth good luck with start of school today

Jekel yeah for having weekends off,

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning and happy first day of school. We are off to the city (Kingston) - a bit later this morning to avoid having to stop while school-buses unload kids which sure can delay a one hour trip. We are buying a digital piano, replacing Bruce's old Steinway which just would not fit into this house. (It went to a good home.) I know nothing about what to look for but will trail along with B, his musician daughter and Dr Denise, a prof of music Juillard (sp?). I will be completely out of my element!

Since we will be going out to lunch, another "foodie" week will begin! Tomorrow night we will take my sister and BIL out to dinner at a really great local resort restaurant, have a regularly scheduled "lunch aka dinner" Friday noon and Book Club with the usual evening goodies on Saturday night. *Sigh!* I sure will need to strengthen my resistance muscle. The only good news is that my fall wardrobe still fits and is even a tad loose in spots.

Must try to get in here more often. Have a good Tuesday.

Morning ya'll
Sounds like Labor Day weekend was good to everyone. Jekel, I was silenced by the request for you to to quit caffeine. There are limits and that would be mine. No coffee = no work out or no work for that matter. I just cant think without my morning cup a' joe. This week is all about creating for me, lots of studio time. Im developing inventory for an etsy shop I want to open. So, I need to stay focused. Today is the end of P1 for me with an 8lb lose. I goofed up this past weekend but today Im back on track.

Good afternoon, chicks!

So I survived the first day of school. Actually, it was fine, I'm happy with my schedule and once you get the year rolling it's like I never left. I often drop a pound or two in September just from the change of pace; my fitibit has me over 12,000 steps right now.

Pearlrose, glad you are feeling better! We had some crazy wind and rain last night too.

Ruth, hope the trip to Kingston was successful. I have an "electric grand" myself; it's a few years old so I am sure the new ones are even better. I haven't played in a long time; guess I should put that on my to do list for retirement.

Michelle, I am right there with you on the need for coffee! I take a rather large thermos with me to work every day. I'm envious of anyone with creative talent; that is SO not me.

Ok, off to make dinner. I'm going to make the "fried" zucchini and some beachy chic parm tonight.

Good morning,

Getting ready to head into work giving training all day, took some cough medicine to see if that helps with the cough. We got the tree all cut up and out by the front, don't think the yard waste people are going to take probably only the stuff we could fit into containers. We shall see. It's a chilly 50 this morning going into work.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning from Drippy Delta? Can you get monsoons in Eastern Ontario? The dogyard is looking like a pond again in places.

Kingston trip went well and we bought a gorgeous piano. It will be assembled and delivered today. Now we need to move some furniture and maybe even get rid of some. I have an antique (1780?) sewing table that may go to the antique dealer in Westport if he still wants it. That should offset some of the $$$$ for the piano. Methinks we'll be shifting furniture for the rest of today - seems to be the story of my life lately.

Michelle, my DH operates of coffee until about 6 PM. He does eat a huge breakfast but we just don't "do" lunch unless we are with someone who does. (Yesterday we skipped and ended up at one of my new relatives farm where she had just baked butter tarts. Not a god scenario!)

Pearlrose, that darned cold is really hanging on. Is it possibly hay fever? Hmmm - I guess a cough precludes that.

Beth, good for you in planning to drop a few in September. I'm planning to work on it and will dig out some of my Phase I recipes. It's tricky when you have a scrawny husband who eats enough carbs for a prizefighter!

Off to hit the shower and crank up the day. The dogs are sick of the wet and have both gone back to bed. I'm envious!

Happy peak of the week ... came fast this time!

Good morning!

Glad to see everyone here! Sorry I haven't been regular for A few days. I made it through my workdays and now I need to really focus on what I'm doing taking over the family business. Several days ago I entered everything for the year into QuickBooks. It's helped to get a real feel of what's going on. This morning I process the deposit for rental checks and then had to go and backtrack all of our monthly tax payments to the IRS. I had actually done it and schedule those payments cleared through January. Now the numbers change. One step at a time. I had also pre-done all my quarterlies so I must change those, as well. For the state, too. Oh well. That's what I get for being organized.

I'm headed down now to drop my car off for an oil change and pay the water bills.

I do have some good news! It looks like I have found a woman who would come stay at the house with my dogs so I could go to Alaska in November. Kirk and I have some big decisions to make there. I was never able to travel before. She's an event planner and mostly works from home so she could do her work here. It's sounding too good to be true as she said she would only charge $30 a day. She hasn't met my dogs yet. LOL. I told her they were both rescues And extremely high maintenance.

I did just get moving here. I hope you all have a great day! Thanks for all your support! Food is going well.

Debbie oh I hope everything works out with the dog sitter. Seems like a win win for both of you.
Pearlrose glad the tree didn't hit the deck!!!
Beth 12,000 steps is very impressive!
Ruth I always wanted a piano, but since I don't play there really isn't much point. Plus my house is tiny lol
Michelle GREAT JOB on Phase 1!!!! Especially since you did not let one day derail you. You should be proud.

LOL 3 days on the challenge an 3 days of coffee. I'm not giving that up!!! My friend Carrie quit drinking coffee a month ago, lol better her than me. Tomorrow we have our monthly commanders meeting. This one will be fun (ok I hope it will be) as there will be demonstrations by some our our speciality units. They are hosting the meeting at our incredibly amazing canine facility. Lots of belly rubs will be given by me. They lightened up the reigns and are letting us wear training attire (BDUs and polo shirts). It will be nice to be comfortable for a change.

Time to get some indoor miles in. Have a great night.

Hey chicks!
Another busy day and I want to do some work tonight to try to get ahead for next week. I was able to get DH to take a walk with me after school. I thawed some pulled pork for dinner so that makes things easy.

Sounds like everyone had a busy day. See you tomorrow!

We are twins, Beth! I cooked a pork shoulder in the crockpot overnight so we will be having pulled pork for supper tonight. It looks like the kind of day for it. It'll be nice to have pre-made meals in the freezer.

Not sure what today will bring except pre-Michelle tidying. My livingroom is a mess since the furniture is all mixed up to get room for the piano. It arrived just as we were getting ready to go out for dinner. I think I may have to sell my big Georgian chest which is not used much except for storage and takes up more space than the piano. I woke at 5 this morning listing to Bruce play classical music - Chopin, think.

Gotta dash --- stepdaughter Maureen just arrived to check out the piano and Bruce is out on his morning walk. Will try to get back later.
