Made a new Recipe: Chicken Zoodle Soup
So, Im new to IP, just started on Saturday. I've done lots of different diets before and love making things that allow me to get more food for less calories/ carbs etc.. So tonight for dinner I made chicken zoodle (zucchini noodle soup). Just sharing the basic way I made it in hopes it helps someone else out..
So I took about 10 oz chicken breast and a cup of water threw it in a soup pan with some vegetable better than bullion (only because I thought i had bought chicken only to discover it was veggie flavored)....
Let the chicken cook through, shredded it, added 4 cups of chopped broccoli, half package of spinach, 1/2 cup of green onions, mrs. dash garlic and herb seasoning, and one can of low sodium chicken broth i just happened to have in the pantry, let it all cook, added water and additional better than bullion until i like the ratio of veggies to broth, then threw in my spiraled zucchini noodles with a spiraler i just bought at walmart for 10.00 and let boil for 1-2 minutes....
It made way over 4 servings.. I had two huge bowls for dinner and stayed completely on protocol, got my veggies in etc etc....
It was soooo good! And I'm so full! (Which is something I havent felt in a few days, thinking about changing this up and adding some cajun seasoning next time, or maybe using one of my 2 times a week vegetables such as snow peas or green beans in there...
Hope this gives someone some inspiration.. Happy getting healthy! Love to get to know this forum better!
blessings!
