Thanks to my pups I was able to see the sun rise lol. Sleeping in was not an option for them.
Jenne glad to see you hear. Love your profile photo!!! Sounds like life has been keeping you extra busy lately.
Debbie I think we could all use some of your motivation!!! I am already toying with the idea of hiring a crew to get Joe's garden in shape after the winter. You wouldn't even know he has a garden anymore lol.
Ruth did you get the binding done?
Pearlrose I would have skipped the concert too. I am very selective when it comes to those events.
Beth are you off for election day and Veteran's Day this week? My grammar school is my polling place. Unless it is a small local election (school budget), the schools close for election day. Can't wait for this one to be over!
Today's agenda includes doggie maintenance lol. Their nails are out of control. Coconut could use a shearing. I do need to send time taking my online defensive driving course. Thankfully they give you 30 days to complete it. It is so boring I will need all 30 days lol. Otherwise that's it. Tomorrow its back to reality.
Good Monday morning to us all. Does anyone know where I stashed my windowscraper. We had a proper frost last night and my car is in white-out mode. You'd think I'd out the thing into the car when I get my tires changed but ...
Had a quiet weekend which was much needed. I am forcing myself to be less busy and the phone rang only once. A simple question about Delta Country Christmas asking when it started. (By the way, my blood sugar is out of whack and Dr Jack says I need to relax more and take care of me. Suits me fine but the community doesn't seem to know that. They say they see my picture almost weekly in our local paper. I should get the weekly rag to print a shot of me in jammies with coffee, a book and two happy dogs at my feet.)
Anyhow, I'm off to tackle the quilting biddies and do my thing there for this morning only. I am taking three completed quilts, ready for distribution, and some kits from my stash to hand out to others since I am pretty sure I'll never get them done. My sister keeps buying the pre-cut kits online and passes them on to me! I need to have a serious talk with her and remind her that she's the one who told me to down-size my stash since she doesn't want to deal with when I'm gone.
Time shower and get going. Hope you all have a grand day.
It's chilly here. 25°, I believe. I had my car serviced yesterday and it wasn't ready when I got off work. They locked it and parked it on the street last night so I went and picked it up while I was waiting for coffee to brew. It was a nice six block walk. LOL.
I need to get organized very soon. It's my early day at work then I go for my Rolfing appointment right after. Then we are supposed to go to my mom and sisters for dinner. It was my Sisters birthday Saturday but she was in Utah with her friends hiking and biking. I like early voting. It's already crossed off my list. I guess I will go get my smoothie ready. Have a great day everyone!
Getting ready to head into work this morning. Have two more Hospitals to visit today with one of my co-workers, I enjoy the site visits and talking to the clinicians. I am glad I live in a small town it will not be that great of a headache to vote after work. I will swing by the house and pick up DD1 as this is the first time she gets to vote.
Debbie I keep waiting for the cold to come today's low is 58 and rainy, I will take it
No comment about the election except that I will be happy when it's over and am glad I do not have to make a decision.
We have another lovely Fall day on the agenda today. It's tad nippy right now but will be nearly 55 by noon. A real bonus in November! I plan to do some outdoor clean-up this morning because, the time change sure makes the other half of the day short. The Christmas lights are on the front porch waiting for a tall person to put them up for me. I won't turn them on until "Celebrate The Season" begins and must dig out my timers and test them out indoors before then. I have them on an outside socket and hate having to go out in the early morning to pull the plug when the dratted timer doesn't work.
Time to get my barking dogs into the house. Geese are flying over and my two little guardians are warning them off. Actually they are probably frightening them based on the amount of goose poop on my car!
Ruth maybe we all will be moving to Canada after today lol. I was #12 in my district at 6:15. We have multiple districts in one poling location. Luckily my district is very small. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Several districts had lines out into the parking lot and people were waiting for spaces. DS will hopefully vote on his way home from work. He thought the polls closed at 5.
My day began literally as I left the polling place. This morning's commute started with a trespasser being struck by a train. I'll spare you the details. Just makes me stop and think how quickly things can change in the blink of an eye. Went non stop playing catch up at work. Home and already had my dinner. I put on work out clothes when I came home as not to lose motivation.
Debbie how many rolfing sessions do you have left? Is it helping?
Pearlrose we hot 60 again today. The guys make fun of me because I am always cold lately. I was wearing gloves again despite the lovely temps.
Glad I have a few shows saved on my DVR. I don't plan on watching much political stuff tonight. I can check the results online if I am so inclined.
Evening, chicks. After being gone this weekend I had mail to sort and bills to pay tonight after dinner. Managed to come home and do a sort of workout but didn't have much energy. I was very happy to step on the scale this morning and see I didn't gain any weight over the weekend.
Ruth, we also had a beautiful day today with sun and warm temperatures. Wish I could have spent some time outside doing yard work! Hope you got yours done.
Jennifer, another tough day. Hope things got better as the day progressed!
Pearlrose, glad you are enjoying the site visits.
Debbie, I have to look up rolfing. Is your back getting better?
We have report card conferences tomorrow; a shortened day with kids but I have to go back in the evening.
Good morning! Glad the election is over; now it may be safe to answer my phone!!
Busy day toady; the kids leave early but we have parent conferences for report cards.
Not too chilly this morning but we are looking for serious frost and even a chance of the white stuff over the next couple of days. I guess I can't complain, since we are well into November, but I should get outside and do some yard cleanup.
WFH day for me, looks to be another beautiful day in the 60's. Stayed up too late watching the election, very glad it is over. DD2 has basketball concession this evening and other than that nothing on the agenda for me.
I am glad the election is over, too! Now I just get up and do what I can do in the world. Take my mom to the eye doctor. Take my sister to the airport. Stop on the way home for shopping and buy more soil. I will keep working on new beds until I can't. It looks like we have 10 more days decent weather and the project just keeps eating all day don't be soil I put in the street so that's my plan.
Good morning, Chickies. We Canadians are also very glad the Election is over and things will settle down - eventually.
My dog-alarms did not go off this a.m. so I quietly came downstairs to check election results. It wasn't until I went to turn on the coffee that I realized the side door had blown open in the night and they had probably spent most of the night on the town. I always lock up completely at night so have no idea why I missed last night. Anyhow they were both back, looking quite smug so I guess they had a good time. They'll probably spend the day sleeping.
Beth, we are heading into the same winter weather soon - rain for Remembrance Day, which always seems appropriate. I do have some outside work to do since my neighbour hasn't raked his leaves! Grrr! There still are a few left on some of the maples and the oaks and copper beech are still clinging to theirs. A strange fall! Paul came around yesterday to check if I was ready for winter. What a nice guy! He checked that my snows were on (and the summer tires out of the trunk) and put my snow brush and booster cables into the car. Bring it on!
Looking forward to a quiet at-home day with the doggage. I am following doctor's orders and taking it easy with nothing on my calendar until next week. Feels good and my blood sugar is slowly getting back to normalish! I'm even getting a few niggles done - yesterday I shortened my jammies since I seem to be in them a lot!
Hi I'm a newbie here so I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to comment on this thread or a different one. Can anyone tell me how this group works & what I'm supposed to do? I'm really wanting support , accountability & to be able to talk with people who understand how hard it is for me to lose weight and not lose motivation. I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread so I apologize for hijacking this one lol
