Bea, I feel the same way. I actually made chicken and veggie soup overnight and would love to have it today. However, I am going to a combined birthday/Thanksgiving dinner today and will have to really use my resistance muscle. I am going to ask if I may take home my piece of birthday cake. It's my son's birthday and he'll insist.
Hamburger (no bun) with sauteed mushrooms and onions, some green beans, a few sweet potato fries (baked)....and a glass of red wine since it is Saturday.
Friday ended up being a salad with grilled chicken, black beans, roasted squash, peppers, onions and a little guacamole. Saturday lunch will be my dinner.
Made it through the Birthday/Thanksgiving Dinner without eating too much although I did have two glasses of wine - spread over 6 hours so OK. There was no birthday cake (?) but Rikki made a fabulous open-topped apple pie and I indulged in a smal piece. Did not bring home any food although Rikki (Jim"s MIL) made goodie bags for her kids.
Today's plan: yogurt and an apple for breakfast, veggies only for lunch and a salmon fillet for dinner with the last picking of green beans from the garden.
Tonight's dinner was very simple, two sunny side up eggs on a spelt English muffin. Oh how I do enjoy it! Yesterday was vegetarian creamy Mexican casserole. Yesterday we had lunch catered at a meeting. I had an amazing veggie wrap salad and indulged in a couple of cookies shhhhh
