Good morning!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I had to take my mom up to the courthouse right after work on Tuesday. Came home took a short nap and we decided to hop in the car and go to Glenwood for a couple of days. It was pretty late by the time we got there and we jumped right into activities the next morning. weather was nice, pool was nice and it was great group with my sister. We've been missing each other the past few trips. I put a call in to our organic farm to see if they were selling their veggie plants yet. They were planning on putting them out these next few days but since I was not going to be around they let me come out for an early shop. The owner met up with us and took us out to the greenhouse and he bought first plants of the season. It was fun! Then we stopped at the next garden place and I bought some soil amendments. When it was time to pack up and leave yesterday I had to get a bit creative since we had the small car. good thing we are down to one dog, and a small one at that. LOL

So, it's back to work today. An extra day-Coworker had to go out of state for a family funeral. Tomorrow is dedicated to packing my husband for his trip. Sunday and Monday I work then Tuesday take him to the airport for his trip to Denmark. He's waited for that his entire life.

We are supposed to get some mega storm tomorrow they are talking to to 3 feet. We shall see.

I am headed down to find coffee. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, Debbie and other Early Chicks to come. I've been up since 5 but messing around with site problems. I think it's time I gave up MOD stuff and just hung out and concentrated on weightloss!

My body still feels like I've been run over by a transport so I am skipping gym this morning as I can't think of any part of my routine that wouldn't hurt. Even my face has a wee scrape on it from my faceplant, to match the rest of my bunged up body. I was checked out at the clinic and even had an x-ray and was just told "It takes time to heal". Gee, thanks for letting me know! Today will have to be another quiet day as I rest up for the wild Syrup Festival weekend. We have a 9:30 Mill Board meeting on Monday so I'll cobble together my financial report today and add any festival profits Sunday night before I print it.

Time for the day's first painkillers and another coffee. I have to eat with the meds and am looking forward to s leftover crab cake and some avocado. Weird breakfast but ... I need to make spinach and egg muffins or something like that. Maybe later today. On the other hand, I'd love to go for a walk in the woods to what parts of Spring have sprung. It's going to be a glorious weekend with 70º predicted for Sunday!

TGIF and I hope you too are heading into a great weekend.

Hmmm...our first post from Debbie in CO is 3' of snow (bet the ski resorts are THRILLED), and the second one is Ruth in Canada calling for 70 degrees. I texted the other moms (we all share driving duties) yesterday morning that mother nature needs to get back on her bipolar meds!!

Ruth - OUCH. Glad you're taking the day off, hope you don't overdo it over the weekend! Mmmmm....maple syrup.

Debbie - sounds like you had a wonderful visit! So glad you had the time to do that. What do you do with those plants until all that snow melts?

I think I'm going to run to Ollie's today (a local discount store), I get a bunch of snacks. My skinny boy child loves their single serve peanuts, and he needs all the calories he can get. They're so cheap there, never mind a lot of other snacks we get. They have an awesome book section, my kids will be upset I went without them!

I still haven't decided what to make for supper. I need to make something kid friendly, because DS decided he wouldn't eat the red beans and rice. He likes it, just won't eat it (what the heck?!?). And THAT is why he is so skinny!

So on Monday I will be transitioning to Phase 2. How do I do that add 1-2 good carb back a week? Can someone please advise. I am trying to plan my meals for next week.

Thanks,

What do you miss most? In my case, it was crackers so I added rye-crisp - 2 crackers. Do you miss fruit? Berries are good with yoghurt maybe with a few nuts.

Hi all! Late check in here. Took a quick walk after work, then came home and raked/cleaned up in a few flower beds.It was gorgeous today and the weekend will also be sunny and warm. I see sore gardening muscles in my near future.

Debbie, good to see you back and sounds like you have been productive!

Ruth, be sure to give yourself some rest this weekend too.

Tammy, Ollie's just opened a store near us. I will have to check it out.

Pearlrose, have a relaxing evening.

Nikki, have you read through this sticky? I think everyone agrees to add foods back in slowly and listen to your body in terms of what triggers cravings.

And feel free to keep asking questions.

Have a good evening, chicks. TGIF

Hi all! Just a late check in for me! We spent four hours this morning cleaning out the garden beds and putting down fresh mulch. We aren't supposed to get as much show as Debbie but hopefully we will get just enough to set the mulch and hydrate everything. Although they are calling for up to a foot - I'd rather just have just 3-4 inches but unfortunately we don't get to pick. I went with hubby this afternoon to a volunteer appreciation coffee/pie get together. I had one bite of the pie and it just wasn't good enough so I left it - that was a big NSV for me!! Then tonight I had bunco with the ladies from my church. Had a great time but as usual I ended the night very mediocre - they give prizes for the most wins and most losses out of the 18 rounds we play - I ended up with 9 wins and 9 losses - go figure!

Well...I'm worn out so off to bed I go. Guess I'll see if snowpocalypse hits while I'm sleeping. If I have power in the morning, I'll let you know!

Hugs all!
