Smile Just spoke to peachie and she said......

.........to tell everyone, "I made it and I Love them."

She sounds terrific!! Couldn't believe when she answered the phone. She was sipping water as we spoke.

Our peachie is on the mend and expects to go home tomorrow.

just cause he's cute

Peachy,
I don't know you but can't wait to hear all about it. I am so glad that you are doing great. From what I can read between the lines you had a laproscopic Ruex- en-y gastric by pass. If this is incorrect please let me know. I would like to hear all about it from start to finish. I am schudled for my lap Ruex-en-y on the 29th of august. Just in time for Labor day.
LOL Marsha

Marsha, my husband had an open, well on the 25th 6 months ago. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer!

One thing I can tell you is prepare your family; you will be a different person in just a matter of months. Both physically and mentally!

It is the best thing my husband ever did for himself. He is a MUCH healthier, happier person. As corny as it sounds, I would not have believed before surgery that I could love him anymore, but to see him run around and play with our kids, well it is just amazing.

I am very curious about the laperoscopy procedure and how long the recoup time is. Where did your husband have his done Luna?

Hi Marsha, I had my surgery done lap. As for the recovery time, well someone else here will need to answer that question. I had a few complications, so my recovery time was very different than most.

and by the way.......Welcome!!

Marsha, John had his done at the Bariatric Treatment Center. They only do open there.

John's hospital stay was 4 days, but on that 4th day he was released at noon. He had to be off work for 2 weeks (it would be longer but he sits at a computer for his job, no lifting or anything like that). By week 4 he already felt better than he did before surgery!

I hope that helps some!

MAN, have times changed...when I had my open done 22 yrs ago, I was in the hospital for a week before the procedure for different testing. ICU for 2 days then went home four days later.
I was off from work for 6 weeks...
Can't wait to hear if my insurance covers the redo....

{{{{{{{PRAYERS FOR PEACHIE}}}}}}}}}}

I'll keep popping in to check on her!
