Happy Monday.

For those IPers on the path of the blizzard, take precaution. Be safe.

As much as I hate to wake up at 5 a.m. on Monday's, once in the bathroom I get happy because I weigh myself. Down another 2 lbs. , and that's with TOM arriving on Sat.

Ok 2 feet of snow on the way I guess I will miss my WI tomorrow lol...

I have plenty of IP food In the house, but will be one of those crazies at the store this AM getting veggies. We already have a coating of snow on the ground. Kids have an early dismissal from school in anticipation of the blizzard so I am getting to the store early and hopefully it won't be too crowded lol....

Question ladies, i read this recipe on a IP facebook group but is it P1 friendly? Is it considered a cheat?

I haven't tried baking because I just don't know but I miss it.

Recipe: 1 serving
1 - IP Chocolatey Chip Pancake mix
1- Egg
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon (less if you like)

Ugh, lost a measly .2lbs this week. So disappointed. What kills me is I didn’t have any known cheats…but talking to my coach, some of the foods I’ve been using as a quick go to are not IP okay. Going to buckle down and journal this week and really adhere to the protein list and see if that makes a difference next week. Sadly, next week is TOM which will be another strike against me.

Sorry to be such a downer today. After being on this diet 7 months, I am really getting impatient for goal and feeling the diet fatigue. Really need a whoosh to get me back in the swing of things.

Stay safe in that.

I feel like we get that much snow all the time, must be a canadian thing. ☺️

Stay safe everyone in the path of the blizzard. Sick over the weekend so hard to stay on plan, didn't feel like eating or drinking much. WI tomorrow, looking forward to a decent loss.

Hope the kids enjoy their snow days this week. Here in Central Texas we occasionally get an ice day...........kids would love a real snow day although it is all hard on the parents who work.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Good Morning IPeeps!

We just got another dumping of snow this weekend, the snow in our yard is higher than the car in the driveway. This is normal for us, but our town workers have been locked out by the council and snow clearing is minimal, our roads are rough and narrow right now. Stay safe and hopefully the blizzard doesn't hit as hard as expected.

I found it hard this weekend, I have never been hungry, or had serious cravings since I started IP, but I think I've been suffering a bit with diet fatigue after a few weeks with lower losses. And with it being TOM, I really, really, really wanted to stuff my face with food and it wasn't anything specific. But instead I logged onto 3FC and did some reading on this forum. I am happy to report that I was able to resist any cheats!

Sending thanks to my fellow IPeeps for helping me stay strong with your strength, experiences and encouragement I hope everyone has a great OP week!

Congrats for being able to resist temptation DeterminedDieter! I can't believe the snow you have, whew! We had a lot and then it got mild and melted a lot my yard has only a few inches of snow now and I can see grass in certain areas too! My dog is pretty thankful for that I'm sure.

justbkuz that recipe sounds great! I don't think it's a cheat, it's mostly spices. It would just count as one of your IP packets and since it has one egg you may want to have less than 8oz of protein at dinner, maybe 7oz? I could be wrong though?

CenTXChk - I can understand how you feel but, you lost! It may not have been much but you're on the right track. Diet fatigue is hard but just think of how far you've come. You've done so awesome and you're on the home stretch. Finish it strong, you can do it! Just curious, what are you using as quick go to's that aren't IP compliant?

Hope everyone who is going to be affected by that storm stays safe, warm, and OP!

I hear ya!! So strange to see all the people buying bread and milk and I was not one of them The veggie section was devoid of crazy people as was the pickle section. Hope you are staying warm and dry!

I'm sorry things are not what you were hoping for Personally, journaling was a great way for my coach to check up on me and she was able to make suggestions as well. Hoping for a whoosh soon!

Way to stay strong!!! I'm with you...it's only been a month on my reboot and I think I'm going to start to look like broccoli very soon But really great advice...find something else to do instead of heading to the kitchen! Hoping that a nice whoosh gets you out of the diet fatigue

_____________________
It's 10am here in NJ and I'm bracing for the storm. I lived in upstate NY for two years so I am used to snow since they really clear the roads quickly up there. New Jersey has never been good clearing quickly. I'm working a half day since they are closing school at 12:30 and we are already out tomorrow for the snow day, with a possibility of Wednesday if we see the 2 feet as predicted.

Oh the temptations on a snow day....I would usually make grilled cheese and tomato soup followed by my chili with extra cheese....so delish! I'm staying strong since the supermarket trip yesterday consisted of veggies and pickles. I have my IP tomato soup ready to go for lunch and chicken defrosting for dinner. Instead of my usual dessert tonight, I'm going with some WLS hot chocolate.

I'm heading out a little early as the snow is beginning to pick up! Stay safe those in the snow belt and wishing everyone an OP day!

~Karen

No need for apologies. Sorry you are struggling today. The journal sounds like a really good plan to keep yourself on track. Now that you know where you made the mistakes you can fix them. Don't give up!

Stay safe in the storm everyone!

I am still new to all of this but I don't see how it would be a "cheat". Just count the egg as 2oz of your protein. Maybe cut down on the WF caramel dip a bit if results are still good, just in case! Mix your own "cinnamon sugar" with stevia and the cinnamon. I have found a Stevia brown sugar sub but not too sure if it is IP friendly since is does contain sugar and molasses. A serving size of 1/2 tsp, packed is 10 cal, 2g carbs, 2g sugar but 0g protein.
Does anyone know?

If there is farmer's market or Asian grocery store near you you should be able to grab your veggies and not deal with a huge crowd.
