Default Newbie

Hello everyone. My name is Jese and I live in Texas. I just started Ideal Protein this last week (I know...it's crazy to diet right before Christmas). My goal is to lose 10-13 lbs by January 15th. I've got to admit, this week was hard with all the baked goodies I've been receiving but I'm on a mission! I've got to do this by January 15th. Tomorrow I'm meeting with my coach. I'm hoping to have dropped 3lbs.

Questions:
Can I sear chicken before I bake it?
Can I use Crystal Light in my water?

Welcome!

It is never crazy to make positive, long-term changes to better your health, no matter what time of year it is. Maybe it is even better to give yourself a health-focus while the world is imploding with holiday treats -- it sure as heck couldn't hurt, right?

I'm sorry I don't know anything about the Ideal Protein plan, but there is a subforum here where you can post your question: Ideal Protein Forum

Good luck to you!

Welcome to the forum!
That's great you're starting now.

I don't do IP so I can't really answer your questions from that perspective... but I wouldn't think searing chicken would make any difference to any diet if you use a nonstick pan and no oil. Maybe I'm wrong. Like Mrs Snark suggested, the IP subforum might be a good place to ask. There are some great people there who've been doing IP for a while.

Best wishes and hope to see you around the forum lots!
