OK, so I've been MIA for a while and since my last log-on I've gained about 3 lbs, which is not so bad all things considering. HOWEVER, it is time to get my a$$ in gear and get down to business. I'm in my best friend's wedding next year and I need to lose a pound a week from now until then.

So, 37lbs from now until August 1st, 2015 and I will be so happy. Ideally, 5lbs/month but if I'm going to be realistic I think 1lb/week is totally achievable - even with Christmas/my Birthday right around the corner...

So, yeah! I'm getting back down to business and making this shiznat happen - I don't want to be the only fatty sticking out like a sore thumb in all of her bridal party pictures!

** side note, in life I'm a procrastinator - always have been (essays the night before still got me As and cleaning the house from top to bottom isn't really necessary unless you're having a party, right? lol). Perhaps this is one of the reason's I've never been truly successful losing weight? I mean, the wedding is NEXT August - my cheesecake craving brain makes it seem easy enough to start taking it seriously after the holidays, but the logical side of me knows that's ridiculous and I need to get it in gear NOW. How do you flip around that procrastinating mentality?

Procrastination has always been one of my biggest hurdles in life. What helps, and God knows I'm not saying I got this thing by any means, is to break any task into teeny babysteps. I tell myself I just have to do this one little thing, but I almost always do much more once I get started.

The other thing is to not overthink simple tasks. If it's easy enough, just do it, however imperfectly.

Things that I really hate to do, I try to do first, so I can tell myself it's all downhill from there.

Maybe you could tell yourself that you're going to adopt one helpful habit per day, not go on a diet immediately? Kinda sneak up on it and before you know it, you'll be chugging along towards your goal.

Hope this helps.
