Question Walking 4 Exercise With New Shoes?

When your walking for exercise with new shoes should you wait to walk alot until you break your shoes in? The reason why I'm asking is because I just came back inside from my morning walk and my right foot is still hurting, I thought it was just hurting cause I needed new shoes but could the reason why my right foot is hurting because the shoes need broken in? Just wondering. I'm new at exercising with new shoes.

yes, i generally spend some time breaking in new shoes before I put in my hardest workouts....I also plan for blisters and how to manage those because i ALWAYS get them with new shoes

I would also try getting measured for your shoes to ensure proper fit. My last pair I picked off the shelf myself because they were a good price. Now after wearing them twice they really are too big and I should have gone down a size. Being too big causes blisters too!

I actually tape the back of my ankles in new running shoes as I seem to have bony ankles and they get blisters even after being fitted for shoes (i always get fitted for new shoes) sounds odd but it stops me getting blisters.
