I'm attempting my 100th diet, I go really well until the 4 o'clock out of controls. Working shift work doesn't help.

My husband eats all the rubbish under the sun, he is not in anyway encouraging, I try really hard and he will offer me what he calls a sputnik, which is his saying for an ice cream.

I would love to get a hold on my eating, I ve been a weight watcher all my life, I don't want to let go of myself because I'm getting older. I feel daggy with the weight on, and annoyed that I fall off the wagon

I would suggest that you plan a snack for around 3:30 or 4:00 so that you are ready when the 'out of controls' hits you.

Hi Scood. Yay! Good for you! Yes, spouses aren't always supportive and sometimes even sabotage one's efforts. Many of us have been there, but how wonderful that you are not giving up despite any obstacles! Oh, and I know about those afternoon cravings. Mine usually hit at 3:00. I am trying a diet right now called the Slow Carb Diet (although I can't really recommend it yet because I've only been doing it for 6 days). It has pretty much cut out all my cravings. Carbs are definitely my downfall and I'm pretty sure they are responsible for my 3:00 hunger each day. Anyway, keep your chin up! And each day at 4 pm, take it just one minute at a time if you have to, telling yourself you can get through one minute and then just one minute more and so on. Good luck!

Thanks

I've started on 1200 calories, that's what the lite n easy came up with. I found an app that converts energy/kilijoules to calories which makes sense to me.

Or if I'm out I just divide by 4 and it comes up calories in an item (you divide by 4.184) but they say just dived by 4

Will try and stay on track

Thank scood
