Default Third time is the Charm...right???

Hello again,

It has been two years since my last visit. (I feel like I am back in the Confessional from my school days HAHA).

Anyway, I have been here and back again twice before, trying different ways of losing weight. South Beach, Calorie counting etc. I am back this time, doing Weight Watchers, which I absolutely LOVE! Seriously I cannot say enough good things, and I never stop raving and letting everyone that I know who needs to lose weight, to try it. But enough of the commercial HAHA.

Basically I just need some support and help. I have a lot at home, my husband is also on WW, and doing fantastically, but it is just not the same yanno?

Thanks for listening and being patient with my rambles!

Aimee

I have lost 39 lbs since January 27th, the day I got on the scale for the first time in months and realized I had hit that "never going to weigh" weight. Two minutes after that, I signed myself and my husband up. Never to look back. Every week when we do our weigh in's I tell myself that those are lbs I will NEVER see again. Ever. So far, so good! But sometimes I get discouraged!!!!! Especially now, when I am starting to see the flappy skin (ew)

That is me in a nutshell, I am a busy wife and mom of three basically grown kids and with my very busy schedule I have unfortunately passed on some very bad habits to them and I want to change them. I work too much, I relax too little, and I for sure do not work out like I should. Any advise or just general chit chat would be great!

Hello and Welcome!

I'm just going to say that the 3rd time was definitely a charm for me. I first started on this site 10 years ago. Then again like 5 years ago... and this time just last year. And each time I signed up my weight was higher than it was before... 185.... 215.... 234. I've managed to lose over 50 pounds this time around. I still have a bit to go to reach my first goal of 160. Once I get there I will evaluate and see if I need to lose more.

But yeah, keep plugging along. And definitely add some weight training. It will help with the flappy skin. I was worried that I'd have weird wrinkly rolls as I lost weight, but I've been doing some form of weight training at least once a week for almost a year now. And I'm actually pretty good on the skin front. They say cocoa butter is good for that too. But I don't use it as I don't quite understand how it works backwards. As you gain weight it helps your skin to stretch. But as you lose weight, you don't want your skin to stretch, so why would you need cocoa butter. Eh, well. Maybe someone has an answer here for that.

But good luck and never give up!!! Ever! Seriously... ever.

Thanks guys!

No I never give up. Even when I want to, I never give up. Stubborn azz that I am!!!!

I do not understand how cocoa butter works backwards either but hey, I always try everything.

I have been walking a few times a week this whole time, but that is not really working for the saggy's! However just yesterday I added swimming, since it is warm now I can get in the pool without 1) looking like a complete freak and 2) without going into instant cardiac arrest from the cold!

I keep worrying that I will look worse with the flaps. Weird right?
