Smile Hi! :)

Hey everyone! I'm (obviously) new!

I started my weightloss back in December with a friend, and to date I've lost 31.6kg.. after a 2 month plateau? at 25 kgs, I've finally started losing weight again... trouble is, now I'm not interested.. Well maybe that isn't the right wording, I WANT to keep going.. but can't find the motivation to exercise...

My friend, who has lost 15kg has kind of hit the same thing as me, only she's reverted back to eating unhealthy, where as I am at least sticking to a healthy diet. She's also lost a bit of the motivation because as she said last night "your post got 68 likes and mine only got 14..."

So I'd like to come to 'strangers' and get encouragement or 'something' from someone else, as I feel bad doing it with my friends and family when it obviously upsets her so. I guess I need to remove myself to keep going, and I really want to!!

Any ideas on how to get back my motivation? (My brother once said motivation is for losers, just do it..) He's right, I start then just go "eh.." lol

For my 31.6kg loss, I've been doing the biggest loser on Kinect, Just Dances 3& 4 on Kinect and Your Shape (something something) on Kinect. Then also on the gym equipment next door. and walking when we can.. but none of it appeals to me any more.

I know that I need to up my water intake again, but it's getting colder so my body goes "nah" (some days i wish I could shut it up, because i know i NEED it... should be enough to drink it, shouldn't it?)

Are there any plans I should follow?

Sorry for the novel

You can do it! Think how awesome you're going to feel when you reach your goal!

Welcome!!

I too struggle with finding my motivation sometimes. I try to go back and think of WHY I am doing it in the first place - What is the main thing I am looking forward too when I lose the weight?

As for drinking more water, I bought a Camelbak water bottle and I love it! The nozzle is made of rubber and for whatever reason is fun to bite (which is how you drink from it), so I end up drinking way more water throughout the day without even realizing it! A lot of my friends who have a Camelbak say the same thing.

I personally do Weight Watchers. I just started (yesterday) so I haven't lost anything yet, but it has worked for both me and my sister before. It helps me to eat better and have portion control as well. I think it really helps me change my lifestyle instead of just "dieting." I follow it at home so I don't have to pay anything.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much

As of today, my weight loss is 33.1kg. I haven't done much exercise in the last week, but it's nice to know that eating healthy is still making a mark. As of Friday, we start our strenuous workouts again (more than just 20 minutes of crap).. Even if my mate doesn't, I will.

I need to learn to focus on me, and not rely on someone else to help me lose weight.

Thank you so much again Congrats on all your weight losses so far! You're all amazing!
