Hoping this will keep me centered on a healthy goal..
Hello, everyone.
My name is Raven. I'm 27 years old and live in Missouri. I've already been dieting for almost two years, but I felt joining a community would help me stay on a healthy course. I've struggled with anorexia and depression for several years, so it's easy for me to get off course and I feel like being part of a community could help me avoid less healthy practices.
I've had untreated depression issues since I was 18. I was prescribed anti-depressants in the past, but I'm uninsured and can't afford the medication. After moving at 19 I suffered a long period of depression and self-inflicted isolation in which I quickly packed on a lot of weight. I went from 125 pounds to 235 pounds. I've just started trying to get things together again a couple years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't take the healthiest path towards that at first. For the first year I was taking in no more than 600 calories most days (usually one Lean Cuisine frozen dinner) and skipping eating entirely some days. I did go down from the original 235 to 170, but I also noticed the affects on my health and well being.
For about seven months I've been trying to eat healthy and lose the right way. I've also been trying to exercise more and get back into shape in an all around sense. I'm down from the 170 starting to 144. I would really like to get down to about 110 and also fall into a healthy groove with my dietary and exercise habits.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know you!
