Hi I'm new to the forum. I stumbled across it and it seems like a real supportive place. It's hard to find people who understand. Over the last 2 years or so I went through a real bumpy time and ended up gaining a lot of weight. I'm 26 now and I moved to Washington when I was 20 and I dropped from 160 down to 132, mostly because I took an overnight job and only ate just before work. However, when I left that job in 2008 to a better job that was working in an office, temptation and bad habits came back and only got worse when I lost the job. Since then it's been nothing but guilt and shame that I let myself get this bad. My boyfriend of 6 years is extremely supportive and swears he loves my body more then anything but it's always in the back of my mind that this is the biggest I've ever been. He struggles with weight too, however, his is the opposite. He wants to gain weight and I want to lose it. I envy him lol. I've recently started counting calories and for about 2 weeks now I've stuck to 1200 calories a day and I do 45-60 minutes of cardio every other day. I thought this place would be somewhere great to get support, tips, and just general encouragement from people who understand. I love seeing the progression in the tickers of other people's post. It's a great motivator.
Hello! Welcome! I'm new as well. Your boyfriend sounds a lot like mine - he is sooo skinny, and no matter what he does, he can't put any on, despite wanting to xD We're like one of those funny couples in a children's book, Mr Thin and Mrs Round, lol Well done with your calorie counting and exercise! That's a great start You can do it!
Glad you're here!!! I'm a newbie too... Well, I've been creeping around the forum for awhile but have just started posting this week. I've found that this place is a great place for support.... Everyone gets it. They truly understand. Good luck to you and remember we're here anytime you need us!!!
