Arrow Hi I'm new and I'm done with being fat, I think.
My name is Cassandra. I am a stay at home, Girl Scout leading, Sunday school teaching, homeschooling mom to 5 daughters 7 and under. I am what I call Genetically fat. My sisters are all short and fat my mother is short and fat and so on. My goal is to help my daughters realize they don't have to be short and fat too. Maybe just short but short chicks are cute! LOL.

I am afraid of this life style change but in the last two years I quit smoking cold turkey and have given birth for the last time to my twins. I need to get in the ball, no more excuses. I have overcome much in my life. Parental abandonment, a failed adoption, (i was the adoptee) physical child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence as an adult. The death of my brother as a teen and then of my best friend as an adult. A cheating spouse. After all that I'm still standing. Time to learn self control and to care for me. I can control my weight better then I could control all the rest of that so here I am lets get this party started!

Homeschooling 5 kiddos under 7! I bow down to you. You are clearly one powerful, capable, patient Mama.

You've obviously accomplished a lot in the past two years (and before that, with your other kiddos!), so yay for those triumphs! You 100% deserve the time that self-care takes and modeling healthy habits will be a great example for your young girls - I'm excited to see you start your health and weight loss journey. Welcome! It seems like you are a very strong person, you have been through a lot more than your average person. But as they say, what doesn't kill you definitely makes you stronger. This community is great and definitely very supportive. Welcome!

Hi, folks. Just joined today. I've turned into a weeble over the last ten years... Remember Weebles? Short and as round as a butterball! Bought a blender and protein powder, etc... And a small kettle ball. I guess I need company and encouragement! This looks like a great community!
