Default Newbie

Hi everyone, I am a woman in her late 20s and I am aiming to lose around 40 lbs. I am around the highest I've ever been - I hit 185 lbs. this morning. I usually hover around 165 lbs. but gained more weight in the last couple of months due to stress eating. I am 5'7 and want to be around 140 lbs., where my body seems to be happiest at when healthy. I eat out a lot (so much fast food) and don't exercise much at all. I actually drink way too much soda. Here's to becoming healthier in the new year.

Hello and Glad you are getting started. Do you have an eating and exercise plan yet?

Hi welcome!I just wanted to say I love soda but have pretty much given it up, at first I had so many headaches so I substituted the caffeine with unsweetened green tea. Maybe when you feel stressed take a walk instead of eating. good luck, and remember you can do it!

Thanks!:

Misti In Seattle, I don't have an exercise plan yet. I don't have a food plan necessarily yet, but I do know I want to count calories and have read up on that. I have done it before but didn't stick with the new way of eating for more than 3 weeks.

chubbiegurl, that's a good idea. I love green tea, so I will try that as a substitute for sure.
