Default Hi There ... Time for change!

Hi There,

So I've decided it's time to stop hiding and focus on getting in shape and being the best I can be.

I know I have a lot of hard work ahead of me as I've set myself quite the goal but if I can stay motivated and focused I can get to, or very close to, where I want to be. My goal? 50 pounds in 11 weeks. That's around 4.5 pounds a week - going to require a lot of sacrifice but I am visualizing the end result and know the maintenance will be much less work at the end of it all!

There is 11 weeks before New Years, this is my end goal date. I want to be in a size 6-8 by NY. At the moment I'm a 14 ... I haven't been this small for years, and don't know if I can physically get there but I'm going to bust my butt trying!

Ultimately if I can get down to Sz8, and have a healthy BF% I'll be happy, I build lean muscle fast which is deceiving on the scales so I just need to remember that and not let it dishearten me if it happens (like it normally does).

I read online that these forums can really help with motivation and staying motivated so here I am!

WOW!! Good luck!! Really, that's a really high-shooting goal you put yourself up to! But through your post I can tell you're really determined! I hope you make it And welcome to 3FC!

Welcome!! I agree with treesa76; that's a super high goal. I don't want to discourage you, but I don't want you to get discouraged and stop if you find you can't meet those expectations. When I first joined this site, I was searching online for any way for me to lose 4lbs. a week. That was my goal. I wanted to be at my target weight by spring. I was set on that too. After joining this site and asking around for advice as well as starting to workout and change my diet, I realized I probably wouldn't be able to do 4lbs. a week like I hoped. I'm losing about 1.5 a week. Not close at all to my goal. And before, that would've discouraged me enough and made me quit like all the times before. Fortunately, I've been able to talk to a lot of very supportive girls here and have stayed motivated and pushed my goal date ahead a bit. I'm still chugging along as best I can, but I'm not disheartened when I only see tiny changes anymore.

I guess what I'm saying is, don't get discouraged. Any loss is good loss and we here will be as motivating as we can be. Join a couple of challenges (I've been recommending that to all the new members ), it'll really help to keep you on task. I think you and I have the same goals. My end goal is to be size 6-8 and I'm currently a 14 as well. I can't wait to read up on your progress!!
