Default brief whining

ugh.

i managed to GAIN 0.3 lbs since my last weigh in. i know its not much but i really worked hard this week. i looked back at my calorie log and i was right at 1400 for my weekly average (some days i was down 100 or up 100). im on day 3 of my period and i know this can't be helping but i REALLY thought id still lose something. now it feels like a total waste of a week. blargh.

It will be okay. My last week was exactly like the week you are having now. I was on my period, the scale was going crazy and I was over it. So much so, that I kicked my scale into the wall breaking it which made me have to go out and buy another scale. Not smart. But-I stuck with it and am already down two pounds this week. Weight loss is a fickled thing. Some weeks are terrible and some are great. Just stick with it and you're gonna do great!

It's only a "waste of a week" if that's how you look at it...

You're attitude will defeat you a lot faster than the scale...

Women can 'gain' up to 7 lbs of water weight during their TOM. I would give it until next week and see how it works out.

I'm typically up 2 to 3 pounds during TOM. If your calories were spot on, the loss will reflect on the scale eventually. Just keep at it!

Thanks ladies! I'm really hoping it was because of that. Either way, I'm still on track and keeping at it, the scale can just be a serious downer sometimes.

I have not weighed in at least a month or more b/c it can be such a downer. I rely on how my bras fit lately to keep track.

Yes it certainly can. And I'm REAL good at giving advice on ignoring the scale yet in my bathroom there are 2 (ya, TWO) scales that I weigh myself on several times per day. So I totally relate and sympathize! I'm good at giving advice that I am incapable of taking myself. A bit hypocritical isn't it!? HA!

if you're up .3 during TOM, you're going to see a whoosh.

hold tight.

the worst is the water weight gain after a day of extreme workouts. i feel like the scale should be more rewarding...
