Post New Here

Well new here and trying something so I can recognize myself in the mirror again. So not comfortable in my own skin and need to get my health back. Planning to do more hiking and swimming and hopefully stick with drinking more water and eating better.

Not so much that I over eat but what I have been eating is so out of balance. I have a tendency to forget to eat and then load all my calories at the end of the day. So I am kicking off the summer determined to get back to a healthier me. Eventually I'd like to get down to a healthier weight too but for now I need to focus on making healthy choices and being accountable.

If you tend to eat all of your calories in one time period, maybe you could give intermittent fasting a try? I'm sure someone else will speak up for this way of eating, too. There are a few methods, but the basic premise is to incorporate times of not eating with times where you do eat. (google) By the way, welcome! The best thing is to find what works for YOU, and not listen to someone else's magic cure. Everyone here follows something a little different than someone else, and that's ok. We should strive to be healthy first, and then the weight will follow! Now get going and don't quit!

Aryewynn, welcome, glad to have you join us. How great that you and your Hubby are doing this together! I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join!
