blue, I don't know what you saw, and don't know exactly what you're after. I enjoyed reading, and have used Dr. Mark Hyman's "Ultrametabolism". It's older (2006), but still holding true even with the newest nutrition discoveries. One of the best parts about it was it helped me figure out a food sensitivity to artificial colors. Not saying it's a be-all/end-all - you still need to make your own tweaks to figure out what you can live with for life ... what it does do incredibly well is demonstrate how vital good food is, and give you a glimpse of what it's like to be full of energy and truly healthy. Once you spend a few weeks like that, it's empowering and very motivational. Follow up with "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "The End of Overeating", and you've got a toolkit for a lifetime.
