Default Thinking of starting body for life...

I just took the body for life book out of the library. I am interested in beginning it. Can anyone pass along thoughts on this. And where I would get Myoplex drinks and EAS Bars??

I'm hoping to begin on Monday...

Livein - WELCOME to the LWL!

BFL is a terrific starter program - spend this weekend reading the book...also check out the 'sticky' we have here titled "Basic Body for Life Information" if you haven't already done so.

Most of us gals are doing other programs (or our own thing) now, but many of us started out on the bodybuilding path by doing one or more BFL cycles (as I call the 12 week 'challenge').

Now, you don't NEED to use shakes and bars, and if you do, you don't have to use EAS - unless you are entering the 'official' challenge (which personally I have never bothered to do) then you are required to use at least one EAS product. The best prices I've found are at www.vitaglo.com. I hate their bars though - they are naaaaasty tasting IMO. I do like the Myoplex Lite powder shakes (the ready-to-drink shakes are also quite nasty IMO) - especially Cappuchino Ice and Strawberry (however most people think strawberry flavor is quite yukky - I'm just weird!). Most protein bars are loaded with sugar and other crap - generally I only use them in a DIRE pinch. Besides they are quite pricey and the protein in them is less than optimal.

Please feel free to join us on our main weekly thread - we're all here to help! There are a ton of experts here!!!

Welcome! Enjoy the book...and remember, you don't have to drink or eat ANY supplements. You can get great results with real food...and lots of it!

Check out some of the other threads here on LWL...and get excited! BFL is a fabulous program!
