Protein and a healthy fat. It saitiating. I have a boiled egg (or two) and a cheesestick when I feel like that and it kills my appetite for a long time.

So far today what has kept me filled up:

Bagel with 2 scrambled eggs and some avocado on it: 500 calories. That kept me full from 9 to 3.

lunch: pulled rump roast with bbq sauce, 1 oz cheddar with 1/2 serving wheat thins: 350 calories. This will keep me filled until about 6 or 7 for dinner.

That leaves me with another 800 for dinner, which should probably involve some veggies. Maybe a tofu stir fry?

if im starving, i tend to go for big plates of cooked veggies or a big protein shake...im a quantity eater and just a little bit of food isnt satisfying enough even if it SHOULD be (piece of cheese etc)

if im craving as opposed to starving, i will often just eat whatever i'm craving, in a moderate portion, because calorie-wise for me its better to eat what im craving than to eat a ton of other stuff trying to STOP a craving and then end up giving in anyhow

Fat and protein. A good, fatty steak satisfies me quicker than anything (4-6 oz of ribeye, for example). Making an egg salad with mayo, mustard, paprika, salt, pepper, celery, and lettuce is another winner. Capers are good with that, too

I was starving at lunch. I had 2 Chinese eggplants in the fridge that needed to be used up in the next day or two. I cut them into circles, then sprayed with oil and sprinkled with salt, pepper, and garlic. I roasted them in the oven until one side was browned, flipped, quick spray, more salt, garlic, and pepper and back in the oven until the other side was browned. When I took them out they seemed a bit dry, so I put them in a bowl, drizzled 1tsp of olive oil over them, and ate the whole bowl. Under 200 calories, I got lots of veggies, and they were full of fibre to fill me up. I planned to have a boiled egg or cheese stick too, but got distracted and forgot. I did have an apple in the afternoon before starting supper though.

Anyway, oven roasted veggies tend to fill me up for relatively few calories. I usually remember to eat some protein with them.

I love cottage cheese with hot sauce as a dip with some celery, carrots, (roasted) bell peppers and cucumbers.

I go high pro when in a hungry phase but when craving bad carbs or something I do often just eat what I'm craving, then drink a low carb protein shake to bring things back into balance. If I don't follow a "bad carb" things with low carb protein I'll just go on eating the bad carb thingie forever lol.

Sadly, I never crave salads.

Pickles for filler. Lots of veggies for a big lunch that isn't so big, calorie-wise. Lean protein. Definitely not carb-type snack foods, because I'll eat way too much of them. Soup.

Yesss, I love eggs! Soy burgers, eggplant lasagna, hummus. Also, tofu works well in a stir-fry, has an amazing resemblance to scrambled eggs and it's loaded with protein.

Egg beater omelette...can easily be under 100 calories, and loaded with veggies, they get HUGE!
