Default PMS Cravings

How do you cope with PMS hunger? I do really well for about 3 weeks and then for about 10 days I get so hungry and have horrible cravings. I feel as though I am never full no matter how much I eat. And of course it isn't healthy food I crave. I always end up binging and it turns into a vicious cycle. I have tried to eat fruit etc. but it doesn't satisfy me. I totally undo all my hard work in that one week.

i can totally relate - it's like a beast has been unleashed with a bottomless stomach in the build up to TOM. i always end up in a sweet/savoury cycle -in the form of carbs of course! The only thing that helped me was going on The Pill, it reduced the 8 day beast to 3 and made my craving a little less rampant. So now there's less time i have to keep a handle on things and less damage done if i do fall off the wagon completely. i had very little weight loss success before then because, like you said, my 3 weeks of hard work were just undone.
i find that, during pms, if i allow myself potatoes/sweet potatoes, sweetcorn and wholewheat pasta without constraint it helps. maybe not the most ideal foods to have a lot of but it takes the edge off and is far less damaging

It may be hormones and it may not be, but you can't let cravings win. Don't give in to the temptation of making excuses for binging; that's a slippery slope going nowhere but ^up^ in lbs. You can up your protein, fat (just a little; say 1 tbl each day), and your veggies on those days to help as well. Protein and fat help satisfy you more too ...
