Good Morning Happy Easter and Passover!

Have a Blessed Day!

My calories were good, but I ate way too late last night. I made a roast last night and I should have started it earlier.

I am not going to count calories today. I am going to try to eat in moderation and avoid foods that I think have a suspicious ingredient. (soy/legumes in all forms)

Calories for yesterday: 1695 +
Weigh In: 148.6
Up: 1.4 pounds

Qtkitty I can relate to your traditions! We have always been a very practical family. For my Mom's Birthday this year she got a decorated bag full of stuff to do an oil change on her vehicle. We work on mostly diesel trucks, so we don't stock what she needs. So that's what I gave her. She loved it. At Christmas, she got postage stamps, batteries, perfume samples, hand cream, pens, shampoo, etc. It's nothing exciting, but it's stuff she can use. This way she doesn't have to go out to get these things.

Diana Thanks for posting and maintaining this thread it is very helpful.

WI- lost 2.4

The pole dancing event was fun and my legs and arms are sore. We actually did a great warm up and learned steps for a small choreographed piece. We learned to strut, hip roll, thrust, chest pop and hug the pole. Lol I had so much fun. It was a one time thing for me but lovely. Afterwards I went to subway with my friend.

I am going to count points today but relax about eating, not binge but relax. I am having quiche for brunch and not sure about dinner.

Have a great Easter everyone. I had 2 Easter cream eggs over the weekend so I have had my fill.

Diana - Happy Easter!!!! I did fit in the cardio before the party. Went for a 4.2 mile walk/run and it felt good. You would think as active as I am that I would be a rail by now, but... oh well. Keep on plugging away

I think it's cool to read on you all's traditions. I dropped the kids' baskets off in their rooms this morning (now that they are 18, 16, and 13, they stay up longer than us, so have to do before they wake up, lol). I will be doing a ham for our meal. I am going to get ahead of schedule for my mileage today - or that's the plan anyway Have a great day/Easter all!!

Morning all! Well, we already did most of the Easter tradition stuff this morning.

I made pinca (pronounced PEENtsa) yesterday toe eaten for breakfast. It's a Croatian Easteer bread. I also made the ham yesterday which we sliced up for breakfast and of course, colored eggs the kids made lt night. Baskets were waiting on the counter. My basket had a houseplant and bulbs for planting this spring. The rest of the family, of course, had chocolate goodies. My mother in law is always so surprised I do baskets for adults and kids - saying these things are only for kids. Why? I remember as a kid thinking and questing why Santa and the Easter Bunny only gave to kids! So, my mom started filling her own too.

I'll grill a butterflied leg of lamb later and we'll have these lemon meringue cookies I made yesterday for dessert. I'll have just one. Even with Easter bread and that meringue, I'll be within desired calories for the day too.

I did far better today then I had expected. DW and I went to my Sister's for Easter Dinner. DW announced before we left that for today she was off the diet. I thought I am in trouble because I will probably do like wise.

I came in at 1331 which is 69 calories UNDER my goal of 1400 and that included a ham dinner with all the extras and I even had a small piece of berry pie! My sodium was a little high but not too bad considering the sodium that is in ham. It was 2362 mg and my goal is 1500 mg.

My weight this morning remains steady at 210 lbs.

I hope everyone had as great a day as I did.

Larry,

Happy Easter to all! I hope everyone has had a nice day with your families.

We spent yesterday at my mom's. She belongs to the Elks Club and they had their annual Easter egg hunt. So, we did that then we went back to her house for a really yummy dinner. I knew everything eating wise would be going out the window this weekend so I took that into consideration over the week. Today, we met a friend of mine in town with our dogs and her dog and went for a walk. We walked a little over 2 1/2 miles on the walking trails. Then, on the way home the kids and I decided to go to the conservation area that's only about 5 miles away. We had a picnic lunch and walked on the trails there. They are more geared to horses so there were quite a few hills to climb and dodging mud and water. We went a little over a mile and a half (I really think it was more and I wonder if my GPS wasn't working the greatest). Then, I mowed the yard and fixed our little Easter dinner. Now, I'm pooped and would really like to go to bed. Unfortunately, I still have homework to do since we don't get any days off for Easter.

Default First day of first week!

Hi to all,

I have read many posts over the past several days and am ready to get going on this diet. After many, many gains and losses of weight over the years, I am at 178 and would really like to be at 155. Even though I am only 5'4". But I do look good though at that weight, so today is my first day and with the help of this terrific site, I will meet my weight goal!

Thanks!

Hi Everyone!

I did my workout tonight. That's about the only thing I did right. Tomorrow I'm 100% back on plan! I will keep trying to eat certain foods in moderation, but it never seems to work how I plan it. That's why I need to stay on plan 99% of the time. I can't trust myself. At least I know this and plan accordingly.

mirabai50 Hi and Welcome to the check-in! We look forward to watching you succeed with your weight loss goals. You can do it!

Well I had a great day but did eat most of my weeklies in one day. I ended up having too many treats (homemade peanut butter cup, cadbury egg, quiche, muffin, cheese and crackers and onion rings). Crazy day. But I did use my weeklies so just have to plan and stay within my daily limit this week.
I did get outside to play badminton for half an hour and I had one healthy meal of stir fried veggies and tofu.
So back in the saddle tomorrow morning and off to bed.

1/2 C granola w/ lowfat yogart
some fresh pineapple

Lunch
1 turkey ham sandwich, slice of cheese, wheat toast, small tomato

Dinner
Went out to dinner
more chicken than I needed , maybe 1/4 chicken roasted

Fresh papaya

Exercise: Spent the whole day carrying heavy equipment and diving. Think it counts. Another day tomorrow

Good night everyone!

Hi everybody

Thank you for being here... I am very happy to have found this thread.
I have just joined -- I am not feeling very good about my food and exercise over the last week. I have been away camping in a National Park. Normally my man and I do quite a bit of bushwalking, jumping around in the surf etc. But a combination of things -- him having a bad back and us looking after his small grandchildren meant a lot more sitting around and eating than normal... Back home now and trying to get on track.
I went to gym this morning and did a half an hour on the cross-trainer and half an hour on an exercise bike. It is almost evening here in eastern Australia so will post a full food plan tomorrow for the day. This evening for dinner I intend to eat lots of salad -- and a moderate amount of whatever else I have -- NO desert or nibblies.
My goals are to lose about 6.5 kgs ( around 14 pounds ) and to be able to run a 5 kilometre fun run. Both by the end of June.
I hope everybody went well with their day... will check in tomorrow

Monday Morning WI 190.8 down 1.8 from last week...which sort of stinks considering through out the week I was fighting to lose that ugly 5lbs of water weight. Ah well, it's still a loss. I will see the 180's sometime this week!

DH is off to AZ for 8 days. His dad had heart surgery and is recovering so each of the kids are making a visit. I think they'll all be together at one point. That means, I must feed myself. He's already prepared crock pot for tonight's meal, which will be big enough to feed me the rest of the week (for lunches). Then there's other stuff I can heat up. Also, he got the kids their regular staples. If need be, I can lug DS to store for help 40 years old and can't even shop on my own anymore.

I didn't get to the bathroom (cleaning) this weekend, I just can't clean while they're around. So I'll do that today. Now that the tub is scrubbed all the rest is easy, still work on my arms, but easy mindless stuff. I was lazy all weekend.

I hope everyone has a great week and a wonderful and healthy day!

Berry - I love that you do baskets for adults too, why should kiddos have all the fun?

Larry - Way to stay under goal Wow, great job!

erin - Sounds like a great day and a ton of exercise Awesome

Diana - I slacked yesterday too. Mine was out of just being tired and lazy-feeling though. Today, back on the horse with ya

plucky - Too many treats on one day is a spike day for you; just getting back in the saddle today will help with that

kathy - Your day sounds awesome!

CyberCrystal -

Diana - You did start early. Per AZ time you wrote shortly after 2:30am. I know you are 3 hrs ahead of us, but usually you and I are signing in about the same time. Have a lot going on today?

Mamakat - Sorry to hear of DH's father, but hope recovery is smooth. It does sound like you will be all set though, and don't be afraid to drag DS to the store with ya It's good for him too

We have state regulatory big-wigs that will be at my workplace today, so everyone is to be on best behavior. Feel like a kid getting told parent-teacher conferences are coming I didn't get out for my walk/run yesterday, was having leg spasms, so behind a bit from my plan... depending on the day I have at work (Mondays usually suck), I am going to try to get it in tonight. DH is working tonight too, so have the added stuff on me, so no guarantees on what is going to get done for me. I did spend time in the pool yesterday though, which was fun. Kids and I have a blast hanging out with each other Hope everyone has an awesome day!
