Hello, All,
Long-time lurker, now registered poster.
I've been overweight since I had my first child over 14 years ago. I've struggled with IBS for 10 years, and was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea, which scared me right onto my elliptical.
I've been tracking calories and doing 30-60 min of cardio 5-6 days/week, with weights 3x/week (mainly arms and abs). So far the weight is coming off pretty steadily: about 30 lbs, now (in 4 weeks). I've also lost 4" off my hips and 6" off my waist. It's incredibly encouraging, but I'm terrified that I'll get discouraged as soon as the changes become less drastic.
I'm transitioning to vegetarianism after 30 years of being an insatiable carnivore. Tough, but I feel it's the right thing for me.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this community.
