Cool Recommendations??

Hey All,
I am new to this forum ( as of today) but have visited many time in the past. I am on a new mission to drop this icky 20lbs once and for all! I have been carrying it with me for the past 5 years, and plain ole' sick of it!
A little back ground, I am a 24 year old nurse about 5'3. Currently, I am 150lbs as of this morning, with goal of 130 by my 25th birthday on May 31.

In the past I have experimented with low carb, running, and p90x. I just couldn't make it past the 1st two weeks of my new endeavor. It seems that after 2 weeks, I become disinterested, unmotivated, and just annoyed witht the whole process!

So, I am here to ask... What are you doing????
I need recommendations and advice on how you have lost that annoying 20lbs. Low carb? Calorie counting? Exercise? What works for you and how can I make it work for me>?!

Thanks!

I think the easiest way to start a losing weight is too figure out what you foods you can live without. If you can swap out certain foods that aren't so good for you or just take them out completely you're at a good start.

I concur. I also think you should set rewards for how long you've stayed on your plan so it gives you some motivation.

Small changes are key. If you try and magically eat 100% healthy, run 30 minutes every single day and not ever touch a piece of junk again, you will fail. I get bored of things really easy as well. I have found that planning my meals ahead of time, and doing several different exercises a week help me. Currently, I do kick boxing once a week and am doing the Couch25k running program (you should look it up!). I also calorie count. I get to eat anything I want (including chocolate and pizza), I just can't eat the whole box.
