Default Lost inches overnight??

How does this work? Last night I measured myself, and had a waist measurement of 37" and a hip measurement of 49". (BTW, when I measure my waist, I lean over to the side and find my natural crease which happens to fall in between my fat rolls...do I need to measure here or measure over the rolls to get a more accurate measurement?)

This morning, I looked in the mirror and thought I looked particularly smaller than I usually do -- my waist looked smaller and my thighs didn't look as gross and dimply as they usually do. So I decided to measure myself again, and sure enough, a waist measurement of 35" and a hip measurement of about 46.5". How do these things happen over night?!

Measurements, like weighing, should be done in the morning before eating to give you the most consistant results. In particular in your belly region depending on what and how much you've been eating the measurements can vary quite a bit.

Also, it doesn't really matter where you measure, so long as you measure in the same exact spot to give consistant readings. For me - I measure exactly at my belly button even though that is not actually my waist.

I've had days where I just soak in water and you can visibly tell. In fact last week was like that...for about 6 days. Finally, got my period, got off some meds...bam 7 lbs of water weight gone, and I looked so much thinner! It's crazy and can be annoying too!

As I thin down, my waist seems to be moving lower as well.

I still measure the crease, but I started going by the measure around my belly button.

As we should weigh ourselves in the morning, the same goes for measurements. We lose water weight at night.

Good luck!
