Unhappy Binge Recovery

I have been binge free for 40 days until today. I know I shouldn't eat chewy sweets around my TOM because I lose all control, but I broke my rule today. I logged everything as well as I could afterwards, and I figure I ate nearly 4,600 calories. This has got to be my worst binge ever, and it came at a time I thought I had conquered my problem.

Any advice on how to recover the days after a major binge. I feel sick right now, but I know the next few days might be interesting following this episode.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and make tommorow a new day! IMHO those of us with binge eating disorder, we are never recovered. In "remission" yes.....recovered no.

Just start back on plan tomorrow. Please don't think that you need to eat super low calories the next day to "make up" for it. Just get back on track eating what you eat on a good day and move on. Life is going to be full of bad eating. Weddings, birthday parties, class reunions. We will never be able to eat perfect for the rest of our lives, so we just need to accept it and keep on moving! Good luck!

Start back over fresh and new and move forward!! Continue eating normally & remember how you feel right now. Maybe it'll keep you from next time. Stay encouraged & stay in control!! GL!!

I agree with everyone else. Drink lots of water and get back on track. I've fallen off quite a few times. We do the best we can but the key is to just get right back on track and don't beat yourself up about it.

i ate 4800 yesterday so you're not alone. There's no way i can make up for that today, so i didn't try. However, i did my normal morning run, and found that i had lots of extra energy, so i went for 7 miles. I also skipped breakfast because i wasn't all that hungry. The rest of the day has been normal. I noticed i am retaining a lot of water from all the carbs i ate, which sucks. Nothing i can do but be good for a few days and wait it out.
