Unhappy Trying to get healthy...I want to LIVE!!!

Hi Everyone. I am 45 years old and I need to get healthy. I am morbidly obese with sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and gout. I need lots of encouragement.

I have lost around 25 lbs since July, but I need a new plan or motivation...something. If you have a suggestion, please let me know.

Thanks!!

Welcome!
Congrats on the 25 pounds! I strongly reccomend calorie counting, you can get apps on you phone for free or off the internet. Some people keep a food journal. First you choose a a daily calorie goal (2000) is what is reccomended to start. You can introduce excersize aswell!

Maybe consider joining a local Weight Watchers too. You might benefit from the support system of others. I think you can be successful in your weight loss. Just pick a direction and go Good luck! Post often

Diet AND exercise. Both are needed to lose weight. Be consistent and make realistic long-term goals. Join enjoyable exercise classes and find low-calorie foods that you really like.
