I was so happy, I broke the 140's finally and saw 138.8 on the scale! I actually clapped for myself a little bit and was feeling super good about myself. Then TOM showed up, I controlled myself all day and then last night..... BOOM! I got hungry, not normal hungry though I was HUNGRY! I wanted to eat everything in sight and pretty much did. I did stay away from the chocolates at the expense of the waffles x 2, pudding and cheese.
I wish I could blame TOM for this but really it was my poor planning and self control. I am paying for it by being almost 3lbs up this morning as well. I know I just have to accept it and move on but I need to be accountable for my screw up.
So here I am admitting it - I screwed up big time.
this too shall pass. Get back in the saddle and try to get in a good workout today. The "lbs" will be gone bfore you know it. Happens to the best of us.
i def. feel you...i just finished downing a twix, a salmon fillet, a lindt truffle, greek yogurt, ice cream, and two biscottis. i justify it by saying it's tom, but really it's just an excuse.
all we can do is get back on track and not get down on ourselves. one day won't sabotage months of effort. good luck!
Isis, I think I do that every month when TOM arrives. You're not alone. But then the next day I feel like shat and remember how eating healthy makes me feel You've come a long way! Keep that chin up, love!
It happens, just move forward. You know that a lot of that gain is probably water weight and glycogen loading in the liver. It's pretty unlikely that you ate 10,500 extra calories and stored it all as fat. It'll be gone before you know it if you get back on program.
You screwed up for a few days (and you most likely didn't pack on 3 pounds over the course of a week), you're not a failure by any stretch of the imagination. Misbehaving every once in a while is a normal part of living, you can't expect to eat clean all the time. As long as you don't fall back into your old habits, you're fine.

Listen to this woman, for she speaks the truth.
You're fine. You didn't fail - you still lost 40lb, for gods' sake! You've *succeeded*, and just had a very minor stumble. Recognize it, take steps to prevent it from happening again, but don't beat yourself up about it!
You've lost 40 pounds. Where is the "failure"? You are human, cut yourself some slack. You wouldn't berate your friend like that, don't do it to yourself.

THIS!!!
I started my period yesterday and today seems worse for cravings. Right now (and all day) I'm avoiding the kitchen by sitting on my butt on the computer! My husband is going to kill me for all the undone laundry! lol
TOM is killing me this month, for some reason I am absolutely Hungry and can't get satisfied and I'm cramping wayyyy more than I usually do. I don't know what's going on but I always gain about 5 pounds due to bloating then everything comes back off in a week
Just remain positive, don't beat yourself up! You can fix this!
