Happy Halloween! I love Halloween. We live in a small town so usually get a lot of trick or treaters especially if the weather is decent. I have my meals all planned and ready to go. I did end up making chili as both of my sons are having people over tonight. Plus made desserts and all kids of stuff I can't eat, but I am good. Weigh in is tomorrow! The candy bowls are filled. I did take one of the mini mounds bars left over from the treat bags I made for my kids and stick it in the freezer! It will be there when I can have it down the road!
A great day to be on plan. I live in a rural area and we don't get many Trick or Treaters, but my grandchildren will come when they are finished in town. I am a chocolate lover, so I didn't buy that. I did buy a box of sucker pop rings because there is no danger of eating those, just in case someone comes. I also bought two little toys that have candy in them for the GK.
I had a good week - lost 11 pounds since I have been back on IP. I didn't lose anything the first two weeks, so I was happy with this weeks weigh in. If I have learned anything from my relapse from sanity and this program is that I am addicted to sugar and I can never eat it again. It is kind of like alcohol for an alcoholic - one bite and I am off and running to my uncontrollable place with food.
Everyone have a great day and may the IP fairy be with you.
Happy Halloween. I won't hand out candy tonite. I do not have kids. Mostly seniors in my area so I never even bought candy. Chocolate has given me and my hubby migraines. So we're not missing much. Anyways, I love Halloween and have decorated my house on the inside
Thanks for sharing the article, Wuv. I am very goal oriented, so the subject always interest me.
Speaking of goals, my goal for the weekend was to get through it (food-wise) without totally blowing my diet. We were traveling and staying with hosts we didn't know. I did get through it, but I can sure confess I wasn't on plan. My weigh in this morning will tell, but I'm really struggling with my mouth and not being able to chew things. I can't eat anything that's not really soft and so getting my meat and veggies in has been really tough. I will be thankful if I maintained.
I'll work with my doctor/coach this morning to see if we can come up with a plan while I'm still recovering.
Good morning fellow IP'ers. Today is my very first weigh in and I am hoping for good results. My only stumble on the plan was not being able to eat all my veggies one day and my only worry is that I drink too much Mio. I don't feel any difference in my clothes and after seeing the first week weight loss of those who have 100 pounds to lose, like me, I really have been hoping for a big number--8 or 9. I know any weight lost will be a step in the right direction.
Good luck to everyone tempted by the halloween candy, I will really savor my chocolate shake tonight as the trick or treaters come by.

Hang in there! maybe puree some cauliflower and blend it with the chicken soup for mock mashed potatoes. not sure if you like tofu, but that's pretty soft?
Happy Halloween Everyone!
I survived the weekend, even made spider legs (melted chocolate and butterscotch chips mixed with chow mein noodles and peanuts) and didn't touch one or lick the fingers! First Halloween not munching on snickers 24/7.
It's a nasty rainy day here in Tampa FL, but should stop by the time the kiddo's come out. Today Joe and I met 9 years ago. He got a fire shift early this morning so he won't be home for 24hrs. Making that $$$ to buy me a ring
I must admit it was a challenging weekend, went to river house with friends, and now my dearest friend is in town from Mississippi, so dinner/social engagments have AND will continue to test the willpower. I will SURVIVE!
drooling over the carmel nut bar I will have tonight!
Happy Monday! We're not Halloween people and our house isn't on a street conducive to trick or treating, so I don't have to contend with bags and bags of treats.
I do however, have to contend with the most delicious smelling cinnamon bread ever. There's a European bakery near our state capitol and I always stop there to bring it home for husband and son. This trip I had to put it in the trunk for the drive home, because in the past I've always had a slice on the long drive home.
Two weeks until our big East Coast trip. I have all of my products ordered and ready to go. Now I have to do the list for my mother and mil, so they can stock up on the fresh veggies I can eat. I'm thankful for supportive families (even though my mil is competing with me on weight loss).
I WILL survive Halloween without eating any candy. That is my mantra that I keep repeating. I gained a lot of my weight from Halloween candy. I love candy!!! It is like crack cocaine. I bought smarties and suckers to hand out so I'm not tempted by what's in my house, but I have to take my 3 year old trick-or-treating and not eat any of her haul. She has pretty much figured out what I can and can't eat and will call me on any cheat with a "No Mommy! You are on a diet. Don't eat that!
Good morning and Happy Halloween! Today will definitely be a challenge for me. I have a daycare and Halloween party is today!! They are having ghost and pumpkin donuts for breakfast. (I love raised donuts=challenge #1) For party/snack time, we are decorating sugar cookies (another fave=challenge #2). Trick-or-treating with my kids tonight. My biggest challenge with that is that my kids either can't have chocolate (allergy) or don't like it. My hubby and I usually take care of it for them LOL and they eat the "fruity" candies like licorice, skittles, starburst, suckers, etc. My plan this year is to put it all in a bag and send it to the office with my husband tomorrow. He and his co-workers can enjoy it So far I managed to avoid the donuts. Wish me luck with the rest!! LOL

I am so jealous! I would love to go to the East Coast. It is on our list to travel to when the kids are older. As far as your MIL competing with you, that would be HUGE motivation for me. I am SO competitive. Take it as a positive and focus on beating her! LOL

Maintaining for you with what you have gone through in the past few weeks is great. Good plan to check with your coach. I hope you are back to 100% soon.
