Default Just a vent/advice welcomed

Heya all
I was doing great on my diet the past month or so. Saw losses every week and this week i gained weight, its put me in a such a crappy mood that i hardly want to go out or do anything at all.

I am a full time masters student and i spent the past two weeks tied down to my desk with course work. I went home last weekend and had a 10 hour round trip. My one free day i spent sitting down all day watching movies. I also have a habbit of eating lots when i come home. So i know that its a combination of too much carbs/not moving enough/eating too much when i come home at the weekends which caused the weight gain.

I am super pissed because my parents got me these dresses and when i tried them on they looked terrible but when my mam tried them on (she is easily 24lbs lighter than me) they looked great. I guess i am just annoyed that i have regained the weight i lost.

On the bright side however i have sort of gotten over my food obsession and i guess the fact that my clothes were tighter brought to my attention to the fact that i do need to be more active and watch my diet more/not go crazy when i come home at the weekends.

Still grr tho.

Oh well i've been doing great since my wake up call (thursday) and i have decided to nip this in the bud before it gets worse.

I am right there with you on the scale making me grrrrrrrr!!!

Once you get the rant out of the way, you're onto recovery--at least that has been my experience.

I plan to redouble my efforts, as do you.

Good luck to us both!

i hate it when the scale doesn't cooperate. glad you took all that as a wake up call, though! there are a lot who would let it frustrate them and they'd toss in the towel.

I went out in the end, had my 5 drinks for 250 cals, came home at ate till i was up till my daily allowance (i didn't eat yesterday so i could drink).
Then last night i let all my frustrations out through crazy dancing.
I am in my parents now and not letting food control me.
Realised why i only ever eat at my parents is that there is nothing else to do around here.

I have also decided (since i am a full time masters student) that im going to try and get in 2 sets of exercise a day, one before i start study and one after.

Last week i discovered this thing called fluff (its amazing, don;t buy it) and i just wanted to try it with everything. I did, it was nice. I realised i love that fluff stuff now but its better off as a once off treat type thing.

I also realised that i eat too many treats in my 1,200 calories. So my habits are good but the heaps of sugary carbs is not.
