I'm in my early 30s and decided that it's about time I lose the weight. I admit that I'm an emotional eater. I suffer from anxiety and depression. I know I let myself go because I felt it's the one thing in my life I could control. I should have stopped a long time ago but it seems I've always been overweight. At my heaviest I was 315 but I've mainly stayed in the 290s. I gave up soft drinks, and now I'm working on kicking the habit of fast food. I've lost 14 lbs in a few months which for me is something.
The reason I've joined is because I know I'm not alone in my weight loss quest. We all have different stories and can be there for each other. Sometimes just knowing that someone has been through the same thing is comforting. I'm the only big girl in my social circle which isn't very big. I just want to be healthy,and I'm not trying to live by the number on a scale. Trying to keep a positive attitude and keeping my SWEET cravings at bay is the hardest. I live in a city where FOOD is intertwined, but I believe that you can find a balance. Just the fact that I've finally taking control is big step for me.
I was going to make this short but I just went everywhere. I look forward to participating, and I wish everyone luck on their journey. It's going to be fun losing weight with the rest of y'all. (I'm from the south you know I had to throw a Y'all in there.)

Well just so you know you aren't the only southerner around. I am from La as well but live in Gulfport Ms now. All of our food is fried and damn good that is why I am at where I was when I started. I am 88lbs lighter and have it under control now. YOU can and will get the weight off. Your mind just has to be in it as well as your heart. Good Luck to you
