Default Annoyed at myself!

Ug, I am annoyed with myself. My husband got a new job yesterday (after a year and a half unemployed!) so we went out to celebrate. I coudln't find points online for the restaurant so I didn't go there knowing what I was going to get (which is what I normally do). I didn't do too badly, but I did end up overeating the points for the day, which I hadn't planned on (I'm still using the flex plan). I'm just annoyed that I did that!

BUT I am not letting it be a license to eat badly today. Today I have had my normal healthy breakfast and lots of water, and am back at it. One mistake should stay just that, one mistake.

Completely agree! Congratulations to your husband on his new job!

One night out is just one night out. It's a treat and you can move forward without having it drag you down

I don't even see that as a mistake. Celebrating a new job after a year and a half is a good reason for a celebration! Yes, you may have eaten more than you would normally eat. But, for most of us, we will all do that at times. No one will be perfect long term. It is important to learn how to do that, enjoy it, and then have the next meal be a new meal and not let it derail you.

I think you have exactly the right attitude. There should be room in our lives for the occasional celebration. But after that we need to get back on plan.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the support. Sometimes it helps to have lovey folks, such as yourselves, to drown out the negative voices that sometimes live in my head

Great attitude! It is so easy to beat ourselves up on one or more mistakes. I think we have to be our own worst critics, but more importantly our own cheerleaders. One day at a time is my motto these days.
