Newbie looking for support and positive people!
Hello folks of 3 Fat Chicks! I'm new to the site, new to this type of forum in general, but I thought I would give it a shot! We can use all the support we can get right? I started my weight loss journey about 7 weeks ago! I've been sticking to a diet of 1200 calories or less per day, and making sure to eat plenty of healthy foods! I choose organic fruits and vegetables, whole wheat grains and pastas, and lean meats for my meals. I generally eat 4-5 times a day. At least 2 meals, with snacks in between to keep my metabolism up. It's amazing how much variety and interesting foods I've found so far! I thought it would be difficult to stick to a diet (I come from fast-food, comfort, grease loving stock), but I love it so far and I am confident I will finally succeed! I am not out to just "lose a few pounds quick" and I am certainly not going to do the "fad diet" thing. It's never worked for me in the past. I am doing this to change my lifestyle and maintain a healthy weight permanently! So here I go! I have also been working out at least 3 times a week, cardio and strength training. The exercise is the hardest part for me, the part that I need the most encouragement to continue. I'm down 12 pounds so far, with my weigh-in and measurements tomorrow! I record them every Saturday. So, tell me about yourself and where you are in your weight loss journey! I may not be able to check this often, so please don't be offended if I don't reply right away.
