This current weight loss journey started when a co-worker decided she wanted to lose some weight before going on vacation back home to her family for Christmas. So she acted like she was on "Survival" and decided to enlist her enemy along with her. I tend to eat unhealthy items from lunch/dinner. I work night shift (12 hour shifts). So to make it easier on her why not enlist everyone around you so your not tempted by what they are eating! She we call it operation 50. She wanted to lose 50lbs before then. I decided to do it with her because I could for sure lose 100+, plus my older daughters (11yrs and 6yrs) and I have registered for the "Down and Dirty Mud Run" which is in Oct and we need to get it shape for it. So I decided to go along with her.
We started 3 weeks ago... I have stuck to it and she (my co-worker) has slacked off every chance she has gotten. So I am pretty much doing it on my own now. But really looking forward to a healthier and fitter me. I participated in the 50 Mile over 3 days walk in San Diego last Sept for my mom who has MS. I never quit.... I walked everyone of the 50 Miles! So I can defiantly do something for me! So heres to a fitter and healthier me!!!!! I am currently using the "My Net Diary" app to count calories and progress. I am also using the crunch fu app to help with crunches, the C25K app (I am not a jogger, but I am currently on session 2 and am thrilled with my determination and hard work). At home I am using the Wii Biggest Loser and Active 2 games (They kick my ***, but such a good workout) and I rotate cardio dvds. When the weather is nice and I want to do something other then jogging I go for walks on one of our many trails in my area. I have no problem walking 5 Miles its just finding the time. I work nights (12 hours shifts) this really makes it hard to regulate eating, exercising and sleep but I am doing it!
