Hi everybody! Haven't had a chance to read at all since I started the last thread.

I worked most of last week. It's funny, but my working is just like trying to get back on the diet bandwagon. Once I take a little time off, it's hard to get back in the groove again.

I'm looking forward to WI (not Wisconsin) in the morning. I haven't done everything just right, but feel as if I've been making some progress. I had two pretty lousy days last week, but two lousy days does not a lost week make. I was very good before AND after those two days so one would hope that I will still show a loss tomorrow.

We, (dh, ds and I) got all the Christmas trees down and put away this weekend. That was a real job and I'm glad it's over.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. I'll try and get in later and do some reading and replying. Love to all.

Ok, here goes, let's try some replies.

J-ann: Good job getting back in the pool. I love to swim, but just can't muster the courage to get in one right now.

Tina: Those stats since the first of the year are AMAZING! You're doing it!!! And you sound really happy too. Sorry you guys all had the 'worship' session at your house. YUCK! Glad you're all feeling better now.

Sara: I bet hubby's party was a smash hit. Hope you were able to stay away from too many of the goodies.

Katrina: I bet you enjoyed the Tilapia. I made Pollock on the old George last night and it was yummy.

Baylee: Thanks for the encouragement. You're right, one day will not break us. * Good job on the 1 pound.

LuckyLadyBug: Hope you enjoy your long weekend off.

Mary: Hope you got all that grocery shopping done. I hadn't done any in awhile and went last night. Now I remember why I don't shop on the weekend. The shelves were empty.

Michelle: Gosh, you sound so overwhelmed. [[[hugs]]] You've really taken on alot with hubby, son, full time job and school too. Don't burn yourself out.

Ok, girls. I think I've caught up. If I've missed you, I surely didn't mean to. I'm off to read a chapter in my current book and then off to bed so I can start the day early tomorrow once again. Anyone that's got tomorrow off, have a great day. Anyone who's working tomorrow, have a great day too! Love ya.

Hi Ladies,

Decided to take the day off. We're supposed to get a foot of snow, compliments of the wind blowing over Lake Ontario, so I'm opting to stay home and clean. (Some days anything is better than going to work! ) The best part about January is the vacation sched. begins all over again and I have lots of days to play with.

Will try, once again, to have an OP day. I haven't been very successful lately.

Good morning lovelies!

To answer Michelle: Unfortunately, it was not Chatty Cathy that quit. However, she is leaving sometime in late April...early May. Moving to Florida. I sure will miss her.

I will be going to WI (not Wisconsin) tonight, so keep your fingers for me. If I didn't lose something this week, I'll never lose another pound.

J-ann: Keep your head up. I'm pulling for you.

Thin: Sounds like your getting back into groove.....workwise and foodwise! Good luck at WI (not Wisconsin) today.

Well, I'm out of here for now. I'll be reporting back in after WI

Thumbs down Monday, Monday...

Hey chiquitas!

Snowing here...5 minutes ago it wasn't and now, it looks like a blizzard! Well, the boys will be happy with that...my 2 nephews and a friend of my son's stayed here last night... Actually, they were very well behaved...lead 'em to the video games and you hardly know they're there! They even managed to feed themselves this morning. Good boys.

Well, I called my GYN guy, he's not in til 12, so he'll call me back later. Thank you Arabella, for your input! I checked out that info and will give the evening primrose oil a try. I can't even ask my mother about HER menopause, since she had a hysterectomy in her early 40s. Not that I'm talking to her anyway! I feel okay, other than this lovely cough, so I'll just assume it's a symptom of PM for now and move on...

On the bright side, I'm down another lb, so maybe I can just BLEED away some weight! Ok, that's really gross, I'll stop now!

oops, company...back soon

Just checking in for a minute. Been sick all weekend. Most likely strep throat. Still waiting on the results of my throat culture. No weigh in today, I just don't feel like doing much of anything. Bye for now.

Reporting in:

Scratch off dishes, 1/2 of taxes, plus I also transplanted my house plants - new dirt, water - I might go for a walk if it warms up into the teens.

No snow yet here, Kat. Hmmm I suppose you are making a web site to advertise your new weight loss method!

Tina Saying a little prayer for your WI (not Wisconsin).

Default Doing the Happy Dance

Hello,

Not feeling to chatty, looks like everyone is OP and going strong.

I am pleased to annouce my Monday morining WI report is a good one, I have officially left the 300's and have lost 10% of my total weight, and I feel strong! I lost 5lbs I have been really good foodwise, now if I could only get the exsercise in. I have 3 more weeks to lose 11lbs, and meet my one year goal of losing 50lbs, I thinks it is quite doable.

Have a great day

Exclamation Duckie, you rock!

That is AWESOME! I am so proud of you!! 11 lbs in 3 weeks is definitely doable, but whatever you take off is great...just keep moving in the right direction!! Good for you!

Not much else to say right now...doc says it just sounds like some sort of peri-menopausal thing that "a woman my age" can expect...geez...how did I get to be "a woman my age?" Aren't I still 18?

Food has been great today...I have only consumed 14 points so far...most of my water has been guzzled, I think that I may go for a swimming class tonight...either that or Yoga. I'm really looking forward to WI (oh, you know...) Wednesday...hope I didn't just jinx anything!

Have a great day, girlies!

ps...Hey, 2cute!! Are you back yet? Seems like a long time since we last heard from you...I hope all is well.

...pps...thanks again, Arabella...as always, you are more than welcome to upgrade your "lurker status!"

All right Duckie!!!! 10 % GOOD FOR YOU!

Well here I am home cause we were supposed to get all that snow. So far we've got an inch or two with high winds and cold. Right now the sun's out. Darn it ... I could have gone to work and saved this day off for later in the year. Guess you just can't trust the weatherman. Still OP for the day. There's a small miracle. I'm trying, but am struggling, as you all well know.

I've done laundry & scrubbed the family room. It's also the guest bedroom and we've got company coming for three days starting on Wed. Think I may try a WATP tape in a few minutes. I feel the need to move.

Lucky: You are so organized today!!!! I'm impressed.

Kat & Steph: Hope you're both feeling better. Kat make sure you talk to the Dr. It's probably just a phase of Peri-menopause but you need to be sure. I know, in my late 40's I went from every 5-6 weeks for 3-4 days to every 3 weeks for 7 or 8 days, then went 6 mos.,then 9 or 10 mos., then over! Still get the occassional flash/moodiness but I've been very lucky to have had very few "symptoms". I'm 53 now and glad I don't have to deal with periods / birth control anymore.

See ya later,

Hi everybody! I couldn't wait to get in here to tell all of you of my WI (not Wisconsin) this morning. I'm doing the happy dance once again. I'm down another 3 pounds! WooHoo!

I am having a bit of a pity party, however. I've been going read 'paying' here to meetings since 1998 and it was great when I was losing right along because read 'this is really stupid' here I would get those stupid little gold stars for every 5 pounds. Well then I gained some back, and then I stayed the same for a long while, and needless to say, they stopped giving me little gold stars when I lost. Now, I'm being petty, I know, but those damn little stars mean alot to me. And I sit there meeting after meeting and these people look at me week after week and now even when I've lost 6 pounds in two weeks, I don't get a star. I want to ask somebody how many weeks in a row I have to lose to start getting stars again. Hey, I told you this was a pity party!

Ok, I'm better now. Thanks for listening.

J-ann: Geez, hon, sorry you took the day off and didn't get any snow. It sounds like you were productive.

Tina: My fingers are crossed for you. You'll be fine.

Steph: Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you're back to perky real soon.

Katrina: Aren't there some days you just hate being female??? Hope you're doing better real soon, "for a woman your age"!!! What a hoot!!!! Didn't ya just want to throttle the man???

LuckyLadyBug: My, but you've been productive today. Good for you.

Duckie: Oooooo, hurray for you on the 5 pounds!!! That's wonderful! I read on another site the '2's' being refered to as "Twoterville", so welcome to it.

Baylee: Don't work too hard.

Well, girls, I think I'm outta here. I'll see ya'll later.

I had this long post for my journal and lost it.GRRRRRRR

Don't know if I have it in me to recreate it.

Anyway, done with taxes, read some, did the budget .... good productive day....well, except for the exercise. Still thinking about that.

I talked my girlfriend Barb and she told me about our friend Lynn.

This is sooooo good.

27 years ago Lynn was totally DUMPED by this guy she just loved.

But she moved on, married, had two kids and moved to Minnesota from England when her husband was transferred here.

A few years ago her husband died and she has been so down since then.

It turns out that through some of her relatives this "old " has been keeping tabs on her and finally asked them for her address here in the states.

He wrote, she wrote, he emailed, she emailed. At Christmas time he flew over to see her and aplogized for being such an A$$ 27 years ago.

It's Lynn's birthday tomorrow and today - are you ready -
she left for Japan to meet Mr. "old " for a romantic birthday dinner. He flew her to Japan for dinner!!!! Well, and maybe more!!!! Can you believe it...he is a billionaire now. 53, just retired and bought a 1/2 million dollar yaht to live on. Will it be - Lynn said she doesn't know but it can't hurt to have a billionaire friend.

I am so happy for her....It's more exciting than losing those 9 pounds...
