Another week! What is going on for you? Celebrations? Challenges?

Welcome to the new members!

I am down 2 lbs this week! Woke up starving this morning because I did not use all my points yesterday (was way under). Went to the meeting last night and it was about having fun without food.

You can do this?

Lol!!

Aww, that is so sweet! I try to stay engaged in this forum as much as possible. It's like my WW meeting for the rest of the week!

Doctor's appt this am. I'm secretly hoping I weigh less on their scale than I did 2 weeks ago.

Just back from my meeting! I am down another 3 pounds. Told my leader that eTools keeps yelling at me, because I am averaging more weight lost per week than they want. She told me that as long as I am eating my points (which I do most days), and getting in my good health guidelines (which I do most days), then I am fine.

Hey everyone

Just got back from my meeting (I missed last week due to camping trip) and I was down 4 pounds!!!!!

So exciting because it puts me at my mini goal of getting back into the 140s. I have been dying to see 149 for a while.

I have been absent from the forum and absent from plan... which sucks. I was doing so well.... so picking myself back up and dusting myself off. I was just tired of tracking and paying attention and ... blah. But I feel horribly, physically. I should know better

I've decided to do a 30 day "Whole9" Challenge with a friend for september so over the next few weeks I'm going to practice taking carbs out, and dairy out, etc.... see how I feel. I do realize I won't be hitting my GHG but I also think it could be a great opportunity to figure out what affects my body and how. I have light psoriasis in places and I've always considered a food allergy problem and I'm anxious to see if that is true.

Good job on the losses, everyone. I'm starting to wonder if my maintaining has anything to do with the "watched pot" theory (a watched pot never boils) LOL

Good job picking yourself up and dusting yourself off, Patchy. I'll be interested to see what your challenge does for you. I'm considering going off white carbs and trying to stick to just brown rice, whole grain pasta and bread, etc. I don't like the texture of most of that stuff, but I'm eating way too many carbs so it'll make it worth the switch.

So... I wasn't hungry for my regular breakfast ideas, so I roasted a bunch of parsnip "fries" and started eating a few while entering them into my tracker. I went to Google parsnip values to double-check myself (my SIL has my blue book) and there's conflicting info. Some say it's zero.. some say it's 3 points per cup. I hate not knowing, so I quit after about 1/3 cup and am hoping it's only one point. (I gotta add the pts for oil used for roasting, and for the peanut butter coating) *le sigh*

Today is my "picture and measurements" update day... hoping I'll have a few inches lost, or some noticeable picture differences. I've lost 10 lbs since the last time, and 21 total since I started in May.

Holy sh*take mushrooms! Did my measurements (and pictures, I do them once a month for my records).. I am down 11.5 inches in ONE MONTH.. and 35.75 inches in ONE YEAR. Oh yeah.. that's right.. I'm bad.. you know it.. go 'laina.. go 'laina! I am the incredible shrinking woman! LMAO

How did I not realize that I'd lost inches?? My pants still fit the same. :\ But I guess that does go to show the scale doesn't mean everything.. dang plateau'd numbers!

Congrats girlsenberry! Glad to hear you broke through your plateau and your frustration. My scale and I don't talk to each other right now, cause I know it's wrong ;0

I broke my 4 week plateau!! The scale had been reading 166.0 consistently, and just today, I got to 165.6! (Hey, it's an important four tenths of a pound!) This is totally going to sound counter-intuitive, but I think it's because I had a few binges on peanut M&Ms and chips & salsa. My friend (who has lost 60 lbs) said that that happened to her a lot during her weight loss journey. It was almost like my body got used to the caloric input, so I had to put it into shock to get it working. Either way, woohoo! Now I'm back on plan though!

Thanks patchymama and singing!

I'm not speaking to my scale right now either (or at least I'm taking her with a grain of salt) because until yesterday, she registered 188.6 every day for like a week. I told my SO I thought maybe the scale somehow got rigged. I can understand 188 repeatedly, but even down to the ounce? Without clothes each time? Sheesh.

I've SO had a big smile on my face and a spring in my step since seeing my inches loss... it even super motivated me to do a workout!! Which y'all know I haven't had any motivation to do in almost a month. I'm feeling mighty fine!

Good job, moobaby and kariatari! I've heard that's how you can jump start out of a plateau.. my problem is keeping it to one day. :\

Yeah...I understand that, girlsenberry. If I'm honest, it kind of spilled over into part of a 2nd day too.

I had written a pretty long entry earlier, but it seems my iPhone ate it. So here's an quick recap.

Up 1 lb this week. Ate at a Mexican restaurant Sunday, and although I had a grilled shrimp salad, I couldn't resist the chips! Oh well.

Earned 4 activity points today by mowing the lawn. And realized that I might just have to kill my neighbor if he keeps allowing his dog to poop in my yard.

My mom (also doing WW) and I decided that starting next week we are going to get together and make a giant pot of low-point soup. That way we can have some thru out the week and it'll be something to do together. Gotta get a big Tupperware container so I can bring my half home safely. We live about 10 miles away, I'm in the city & she's in the burbs.

I'm in a recipe funk! Any good chicken recipes? I don't eat fish, so chicken tends to be the best lower point option. And my picky fiancé will actually eat it too!
