Unhappy Anyone else feel like a dork?

I read the Monthly Challenge thread and I just think to myself: I am such a loser!

People are aiming to excersise 5-6 times a week from 30 minutes to 1 hour and here I am, exasberated by walking 1 flight of stairs.

It makes me ashamed.

My goals seem so lolely...

Excercise at least 2x a week (1/2 hour walk and maybe some crunches?) and eat and drink better.

Anyone else feel a little disillusioned or is it just me starting trouble again??

jenne -

I think your goals are great! You have to start somewhere. When I first started on my quest to lose weight, I did not exercise that much. I took it one week at a time.. and increased how long, and how hard I did things each week. Thats the only way to do it.

I also only started with exercise and then once I got into my routine.. I focused on eating habits as well.

As long as you have long term goals in the back of your mind and keep working hard.. you should not feel ashamed about anything. You just need to do things at your pace.

So post away on the monthly challenge.. no goals are too small!

Angry lol

Thanks for the motivational speeches.

I was hoping that others felt the same way I did though. You know?

Hoping that I wasn't the only one in my predicament.

But it is nice to see you all started out the way you did and how successful you are now. So thanks!

Jenn

The numbers are typically starting weight / current weight/ goal weight. Although I have seen some variation (mostly people who are on weight watchers have a ww goal and a personal goal).

Oh and I feel like a dork most of the time But probably for other reasons...

I think that your goal is realistic, depending on your schedule. I am a college student and I work full time 6 days a week, so it is hard for me to fit exercise in. I just started my diet this month and so far I have lost 8lbs, not bad for a beginner, so I hear. I would like to fit exercise in, so this month, I am going to join a fitness class that my job is offering for free. We all can't exercise 5 days a week, (Besides my doctor said that is way too much, for me) and most of us don't have that kind of time. So take it slow, and remember that every little bit counts.
