Default Looking for support

Hi everyone! I am new here and haven't found my way around yet. I'm taking my first steps (for what feels like the hundredth time) at weight loss and self control, and I know I can't do it alone. I am looking for a friend to provide moral support and a good swift kick when needed (lol)! I have used the old WW plan in the past and am toying with using it again....any opinions? I find I am an evening eater and sugar, cheese, and carbs are my most desired eats (in that order...LOL). HELP!!

Hi Linda!!! *waves*

Welcome! You'll definitely feel the love and support here! I've been here officially for a week and I've been lurking for a while. I'd be glad to offer you support and a "swift kick in the backside" (we all need one at times!).

Good luck on your journey!

Hi!! I know how you feel. I have said I am going to start this a million times. I joined 3FC last year and did good, until I quit smoking and then I gained 40-50 pounds. It's hard and I feel like I am back on track, this site is very motivating and encouraging. Even when I was not actively trying to lose I would come here for support. I am sure you will do well with your journey, and there are plenty of resources on the site. Good Luck!!!

Hi! Linda,

I live in NE Ohio and have the same eating patterns as you stated. I tend to eat later at night and not so healthy choices.

Maybe we can be support and accountability buddies?

My favorite new trick is each week I put 4 goals for the week on paper and mark if I did it each day.
This week was:
Lose 1.5#
Spend at least 60 minutes exercising
Eat 4 servings of fruit/veggies a day
No eating after 8pm

It is nice to know I am doing someting "right" and those little check marks help me stay the course.

Take care,
Sarrah

I can definitely relate to you!
I have a serious problem with nighttime eating...mostly because my husband comes home and is absolutely famished!
I also understand the need for motivation. I always "fall off the wagon" when I try a new program. I am also looking to retry WW, but i'm not a big fan of the new program. I think I have everything I need to lose weight, but I just don't utilize it! Good luck with everything! If you need a buddy, trust me, I'm here! I need one just as much!

Hi Sarrah I love the idea of setting mini goals and would love a buddy. I think I too will start setting those goals. Thanks!

Hi Stephanie...This will be our last time saying here I go again. I will keep you going and you can return the favor. I tend to get discouraged when I don't see rapid loss for what feels like my suffering. I don't like to feel focused on food...know what I mean? Looking forward to losing with you.
Linda

Hi there! Thanks for being the first person to offer a hello and a kick when I need one. This site seems like it will really help. It's good to feel like your not alone and so nice to see people from all over banding together to give support. Thanks so much!
