Default ~Yo-Yo Girl No Longer~

Hey everyone, my name is Christina and I'm a yo-yo dieter (all together now: Hiii Christinaaaa.) But now I am Yo-Yo Girl No Longer! I know millions of women all over have the same problem so when I decided I was going to make a change and stop dieting for good I also thought a blog would be fitting and I've decided to post it here because I love this site. You guys give great support! Feel free to comment! Knowing people are reading would help keep me on track.

From now on I'm making goals for myself. I'm not cutting out any foods or staying within a certain calorie limit. I've definitely been there, done that and it's absolutely never worked. I slip up eventually, get mad at myself and then figure, screw it, I've already messed up might as well give up. Well no more.

I'm creating a few mini, two week goals. I figure I can do anything for two weeks. And if I tell myself that I only have to do it for fourteen days I think I'll stick to it. But again, no cutting out food groups or limiting calories. Here are my goals for the upcoming two weeks, starting today:

Eat breakfast every morning.
Drink only water and green tea M-F (except two cups of coffee in the morning)
Go for a jog 2x a week.

I think this is doable. They're really just little goals and very small changes to my life. For example, I usually only drink water at work all day anyways. But sometimes I will have a hot chocolate and I drink mostly juice when I get home. So I'll just have to cut that out. But I'm allowing myself to drink whatever I want on the weekends.

Eating breakfast every morning shouldn't be too hard. I'm usually in a rush in the morning but I think if I just got up a few minutes earlier I'd be able to swing it no problem. I had an egg this morning.

As for the jogging, well that's going to be a challenge. I never have time in the morning and when I get home I'm generally way too tired to even think about it. But I think I can do twice a week. I'll probably go Monday in the afternoon (my day off) and Friday before work because that's my day to come in late.

Two weeks. I can do this! Wish me luck!

Welcome!!

It sounds like you have a great starting point! I am a firm believer that breakfast is very important, so it's great you're making it a priority! It's often when I skip breakfast that I end up over eating the rest of the day.

Hey Christina, you sound alot like me with the yoyo diets, haha and even though i've only been on this site a short time, making small changes works so much better, i can tell already =) i dont know about you but i would go on crazy-extreme near starvation diets and i would do good for maybe 3 months tops (and i mean TOPS usually 2 weeks hahaha) and i would just eat 1 chip and give up. but now just with making better choices and getting even a little exercise i dont feel deprived at all really and i know i can stick with it. so good luck and even the tiniest life changes make a difference and you'll be at your goal soon enough!
