Default Lurker-need to lose about 40lbs.

Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking for at least 6 months, and finally joined last week. This forum is such a wonderful source of support for so many people. I love seeing the success stories. There are so many of you who have overcome so much, and worked to hard to reach your goals. The hard-earned success you have enjoyed is a true source of inspiration!

I am an emotional eater, who is good all day, then I fall apart and binge at night. I also am not a consistent enough exerciser. With the help of all of you, I hope to fix those things and lose about 30-40 lbs.

I look forward to hanging out and sharing with all of you Thanks for having me!

Shelley

Welcome bells! This place is so motivating. It's the longest I've stuck with anything to do with losing weight. I always sort of tried but not really. But, spending time here seeing everyone else so up beat and doing it, we can too and we WILL! I look forward to seeing you around, thanks so much for joining us!

I just lost 35 pounds since October so I know exactly what you are feeling right now. You can do though!!

Night time eating has always been hard for me. What I have done is:

1. Have healthy snacks available (100 calorie popcorn, skinny cow ice cream, etc)
2. Brush my teeth right after dinner. I am more likely not to eat if my teeth are brushed.
3. Chew gum.
4. drink water
5. go to bed. Sometimes when I feel major cravings happening I just go to bed and read. If I am not downstairs I am less likely to eat.

Good luck lady!
