Smile Very happy with Induction results

I will admit that I was skeptical about starting Atkins. I came across the book at a thrift store more than a month ago and decided to read for myself to see what it was all about. I have never been on the true Atkins although I have tried low carb, low fat, low calories...you name it, I've probably tried it.

Before I even started the book I came to this site to see what those doing it had to say about it. There was so much positive feedback so I decided to read the book and give it a try.

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks official since I started and, as of today, I have lost 12 pounds!!! I couldn't be happier with those results.

I plan to stay in Induction a while longer and see what happens. I have found that if I plan carefully then the food is not boring and I don't have to have the same thing day after day. As with any change in eating habits, planning is key!

Thanks to all of you for posting about your Atkins journey because it really did encourage me to begin mine. I hope I can inspire someone else to begin theirs as well.

Congratulations! You're getting some great results!

What did your previous low-carb diet consist of?

Berkshiregrl, I never really followed a structured low carb plan. I've "watched" carbs but never to the point of counting and restricting them to this extent.
