Default So NOT hungry today

Is this really me? I am having a hard time eating 1500 calories today. I do worry about my metabolism as I can tell when it is slowing down because I get cold, very cold. But I just don't feel like eating. Never though I'd say that. Im sure I'll have a hungry day soon and I'll be thinking what happened?

I think it will even out. I usually have one or two days a week I am not hungry at all (like yesterday I barely got over 1000 calories! yikes!) but then today I am starving. lol I say if you're getting at least 1200+ not to worry about it unless it lasts more than than a week then call your doctor. Your body is probably just adjusting to the new food too. My husband went from eating north of 4000 calories a day to under 2000 a day when he first started Atkins. That's one of the many reasons I think Atkins works you get fuller on fewer calories because they are more satisfying and don't spike your blood sugar.

*note I am not an expert this is just my personal opinion and inferences from the Atkins book. I am as new as you. lol*

I noticed a great deal less cravings for sweets as the months have progressed. The low carb approach is a miracle for me-glad others are having success too!

I struggled with this the first time, and also now. It sucks. For me it goes beyond not being hungry sometimes, and heads into everything sounds disgusting. Its really funny, because when I was on Weight Watchers, Im like GEEZ I WISH ID NOT BE SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME... now im like I WISH I WAS HUNGRY EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE!! lol

Cant win for losing!

I personally love those days when the only thought I have about food is: Gee, it's been over 8 hours since I've eaten. Much better than the old days of obsessive cravings and that "bottomless pit" hunger.

I think in most cases, our bodies send pretty clear signals when it's time to refuel. I wouldn't worry about lack of hunger unless it's chronic and sustained over a couple of days.
