I know this is preaching to the choir, but these photo comparisons and articles of how much X calories look like really reinforce for me the need to cook my own food whenever possible. It is amazing how many added calories there are in things!
I got 16 out of 24 on the quiz lol. I failed on the foods I don't eat and never have eaten before in my life- like shrimp and nuts and hummus lol interesting websites- thanks for sharing!
I got 18 out of 24. The surprising thing to me was that I tended to underestimate the ones I got wrong rather than overestimate--that is, I'd assume that the smaller portion was the 100-calorie amount even when it was the larger one. I guess I'm over-correcting.
What the heck is a VitaMuffin VitaTop, anyway? Sounds like what I would give my cat to keep his coat shiny. :P
VitaTops are an awesome piece of chocolatey heaven. - Okay maybe they're not for everyone, but I love them. It's a 100 calorie muffin top that is full of vitamins, fiber and low fat. They come in a lot of flavors, but I like the chocolate ones the best. I eat them on rare occasion when I really need a chocolate fix. You can order them online or get them at some grocery stores in the freezer section.
20/24. I got the tortilla chip one wrong... that one varies so much by brand! A friend of mine just served some at her house that were baked from TJ's. 7 chips was 120 calories, so I assumed the 5 chips was 120. Ah, well.
Oh man, I only got 15 out of 24 on the quiz, but at least most of them were me underestimating - ie picking the smaller portion haha! There were also a lot of things that I don't eat, and stuff that doesn't even exist in New Zealand, like Turkey Jerky (which I'd love to try haha.)
18/24. was surprised by the amount of edamame that equals 100 cals. Most of the ones I got wrong were snack foods like the tortilla chips and salsa. Makes sense since I'm always stumped about what healthy snacks to eat.
