Default Motivated and need to stay on track! (New Here)

Hi Everyone! I just registered for this site after browsing the forums for a few days. Everyone here seems so friendly and the forums seem like a great place to go for support.

I started counting my calories on Monday and haven't slipped yet. Soo proud of myself. I am 5'2 and weigh 220 lbs

I have been in denial for quite some time thinking I wasn't gaining weight and I wasn't that big. It really hit me the day after Christmas when my husband and I took our kids sledding with my husband's brother and his sister as well as her kids. My brother in law and sister in law were standing at the bottom of the hill while I went down with my daughter. Just as I came to a stop I heard my brother in law (who is an extremely nice and non judgemental person) say to my sister in law "she can use her fatt a** as a break for the sled". This woke me up big time. I was upset and hurt but he was right, I was/am BIG.

So needless to say, here I am. I have extremely motivated and find that I stay motivated more if I have people to discuss it with.

Current weight - 220lbs
Goal weight - 140

Hi there!
Welcome sometimes the negative things people say are the final straw.. i know that I have heard some pretty harsh things from people that made me realize.. it is time. But.. don't let that be the reason why you want to lose weight. Lose weight because it will give you more years to live, the ability to be healthy for your husband and children.
I hope the best for your weight lost journey and keep us posted. If you ever need someone to talk to -- we are all here

You can do it!! If ever you feel like you can't just remind yourself of how you felt when you started this thread! If for some reason you slip, don't look at it as if you screwed up... just forgive yourself and continue on!

YOU CAN DO THIS!!
