This time for real
Hello everyone!
So I'm a 27 year old couch potato with aspirations of healthiness. I've lost a significant amount of weight twice before, 40 lbs when I was about 13 (CC), and 50 lbs when I was 22 (WW), but in both cases, I gained it back (and then some).
While I do want to lose weight, my primary concern is my health. My cholesterol is too high, as is my blood pressure. I was diagnosed last year as prediabetic, and I really hope that it has not progressed to full blown type 2 diabetes. In addition, I'm in terrible shape.
I'm hoping that participating in this forum will help me stick with it. I'm fairly confident in my ability to lose at least some weight, but I am not so sure about keeping it off. That said, I am finding this time around much more difficult than previous attempts.
I am doing Weight Watchers again, but I don't feel nearly as gung ho as as I was during my previous attempt. I think that the knowledge that I have failed to keep the weight off twice makes me much more pessimistic.
