I use eatingwell.com a lot. I hate eating the same thing all the time so I have over 250 bookmarked recipes. Boredom in food choice is a major reason I always failed in the past.

I eat what i want to eat - just in smaller portions or i cut out the carbs or cook with less fat or all the above.
today i've had
Bananna and PB on toast for brekkie
crackers with cheese and an apple for lunch.

Tonight i've got a hankering for pizza so i have 250cal mini pizzas that i add roasted vegetables and chicken to and serve with a baby spinach salad.

Icon, I'm in the same boat as you.

I've been using a lot of FoodNetwork recipes, but subbing them for healthier stuff.

I also have been using my slow cooker. I made a turkey this weekend and I took the leftovers, threw it in there with 1 can of black beans, 1 can of kidney beans, a chopped onion and a can of diced tomatoes and a can of tomato puree and bam - very low-fat chili.

Hands down...if you like to cook or have time to cook, or even if you don't have time (There are less time consumign recipes) the BEST SITE EVER is

http://www.skinnytaste.com/

Not ONLY does she give you the calorie intake etc for each one, she ALSO gives you what the WW points would be. It's AMAZING and EVERYTHING on that site is SO GOOD. SHe tests them and re-tests them. I am in LOVE with everything I've made so far.

But my favorite is her chicken enchilada recipe! I make that at least once every two weeks and it is amzinggg!

Let me know if you try any of them!

Just clickyed on the skinnytaste website and I already love it! Awesome find!!!

I've recently discovered the joy of ginger root. I want to put ginger in everything, all the time - because it tastes exotic and the opposite of boring. Now.. that's not to say I have any good recipes... I mostly just put it in my green smoothies, but I definitely WANT to put it in ev.ery.thing.

I read somewhere (could have been on 3fc? or a parenting website? thebump maybe?) about a family that picks one country a week and finds a meal from that country to have for dinner - or something to that effect. Keeps it interesting, exotic, and makes the boring foods not SO boring knowing that something totally new is around the corner

Recently, for me, it's been sushi and ginger, though. Ginger ale, ginger smoothies, ginger salad dressing, ginger candy, ginger ice cream, watching harry potter for the beautiful ginger heads...

Skinny Taste website looks great!

I typically have cream of wheat and yogurt for breakfast but that is getting boring. I am thinking about getting some of the smart ones breakfasts to mix things up a little.

There is a stir fry bar at the grocery store near my office and I used to load it up with noodles and meet and sauce. Now if my lunch is from there is loaded with veggies, less than a half a cup of noodles and meat. A little sauce and its great! Great for dinner too and easy to make at home, I go to the salad bar and get all the veggies already cut up if I'm short on time.

The other thing I have been eating a lot of for lunch is soups! The mircowave bowls are great for work, just look at the calories, some times they are 2 servings in one little bowl.

hmm... i'm pretty boring with my food too. i eat the same thing for breakfast everyday (coffee, banana, yogurt and egg) but i'm too sleepy to care usually. lol.

for lunch i have "school lunch" made for me at school so it does give a bit of variety into my day. i'll usually eat it without the carbs (or just a little of it)

i eat lots of fruits and veggies. for dinner i'll usually have either a salad and a soup... make your salads nice by adding nuts, dried raisins, other veggies or something to it... or some stirfry with a bit of meat and lots of veggies...

Krizstyling, I totally agree! I love skinnytaste.com. I have tried a couple of her recipes so far and really enjoyed them. I love how organized she is and how most of her recipes are simple but delicious!

The greatest part of skinnytaste is that she tests EVERYTHING over and over until she gets it JUST right.

I dunno about you guys, but when I'm cookin I'm usually cooking for me AND my boyfriend. When I made those chicken enchiladas (which was the first thing I cooked for him) he was like UMM Did you quit your eating healthy kick? I'm like NOPE! EAT. He couldn't BELIEVE IT, he begs for them weekly but I am trying to try a new recipe at least once a week so he doesn't always get what he wants =)

LOL Anyway, when cooking for other people, whether it's childrenor your husband or wife, it's amazign to be able to make a few tweaks to a recipe and have something TOTALLY healthy.

Like the above poster said, she's totallllllly organized so you know how much or how little of somethign you can have.

If ANYONE is going to try the Zucchini cake for the Holidays, let me know! I want to make that for xmas and would love to hear how it turned out!
