Default Greetings from RI!

Hi everyone! I'm new here...obviously...lol
I started a weight loss plan last year and somehow got sidetracked. Last month I introduced my 7 yr old grandson to the joys of photography and his favorite subject appears to be ME and let me tell you...after years of not allowing anyone to take my picture this has been a real eye opener!
Of course in his eyes, they are beautiful photos of his Nana , to me they are awful! I would delete them but he loves them so much. So I decided that I needed to get back on the weight loss track ASAP so he can have pictures of me that we both like! Although he calls this a *crazy goal* and says I am just perfect the way I am...such a sweetie . He's worried that if I get thin he won't be able to give me BIG hugs anymore.
Anyhow, I'm 53 and want...need.. to lose over 100 lbs. Found this site, loved the name so here I am!
Let's see..what else. Most of my info is in my profile, but I will say that I have started eating much healthier and using the Biggest Loser 6 week workout DVD that a friend gave me years ago, alternating a day of low impact cardio with 1 of sculpting 6 days a week and relaxing on Sundays.
My first week (started Nov. 2) I lost 10 lbs and was so happy. Still eating the same and have been working out for about 2 weeks now and I have GAINED back 5 of those lbs. So pretty discouraged but still sticking to it.
Looking forward to meeting folks to help me stay motivated and doing some motivating of others too

Welcome!!

Those 5lbs could have been from muscle gain, water retention... heck, a number of things. And good for you for not letting it bring you down - because it shouldn't!
The hardest thing for myself to realize is that it doesn't come off overnight... that these changes to our lifestyle are life long. And we must learn to celebrate the small victories.
Keep on keepin' on.... Best wishes to you!
